Up for Sale is My 1983 BMW 633CSI in factory original Alpine White paint with original Pacific Blue leather interior. This car is a true survivor and is all original, no accidents or damage EVER. This is an estate 1 prior owner California Car. This car has no rust, no re-spray and factory original under coating. Perfect under carriage. I bought this car from a car broker that got it from the estate. I have a copy of the original California title and original California plates. Along with the car comes the original books and cassette cleaning kit (cool). Factory tool set intact but missing a pliers.

This car is an amazing RARE Alpine White over Pacific Blue 5 Speed California Model. Up until now the car has been off the road since 1995. Appears it would not pass smog and was garaged. I have gone through this car and it is back on the road and running great. I have spent dozens of hours and over $3000 in parts/service alone in the past 60 days. Receipt's included.

Here is a list of the items serviced and repaired in the past 60 days.

Fuel Tank removed and professionally cleaned and sealed.
New Fuel Sending unit
New fuel pump pickup
New fuel filter
New fuel pressure regulator
New Fuel injectors
New Water Pump
Coolant flush and bleed

New CTS (coolant temp sending unit)
New ICV (idle control valve)
New ICM (idle control module)
New Battery
New center shaft bearing and support bracket (for drive shaft)
New Guibo (center shaft bearing)
New Clutch Slave Cylinder
NOS Wagner Amber head lights
Oil Change

The car starts right up and runs very smooth. No smoke or leaky valve guides. Very strong engine and trans and shifts very smooth. Car drives tight and handles very well. These cars are the European muscle cars of the 80's only way more smooth and solid. The original Alpine White paint is in excellent original condition with only a few minor dings. No rust or peeling of any kind. All trim in good shape. Factory matched basket wheels are in great shape. Factory under coating intact and no issues under the car. Power sunroof works great. Power windows go up and down. Cabin heats well and blower fans work. Dash has a few cracks from the California sun and has a dash mat in place. Door panels are excellent as well as carpet.

Here is what I feel still needs to be serviced at some point in the near future
.

Front end alignment
New muffler
New tires
AC service
New rear speaker pods
Repair driver seat leather
Replace speedo gear
Dye interior all back to deep rich Pacific Blue
Buff and wax

This car is a great investment and will only go up in value in the very near future. You just don't see time capsuls like this very often. I wish I could keep the car but I have to many projects going right now and don't have the space.

BMW bringing X3 diesel, X5 PHEV concept to New York

Sat, Apr 5 2014

We've seen the i3 and i8 plug-in vehicles at plenty of BMW auto show stands these past few years. At the upcoming New York International Auto Show, the automaker will spread out a bit by showing off both new diesel and plug-in hybrid SUVs. Bimmer will showcase its diesel-powered X3 vehicle, which starts sales this spring as a 2015 model, and a concept plug-in hybrid X5 SUV. There are lots of figures to digest for what will be called the X3 xDrive28d. The vehicle will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin-turbodiesel engine that will deliver 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Propelled in part by an eight-speed automatic transmission, the SUV will be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about eight seconds. It will be priced with an MSRP of $42,825, which is represents a $3,500 premium over the base X3. BMW hasn't made fuel efficiency figures available, but they should be a nice improvement over the base X3's 24 mile per gallon fuel-efficiency rating in the US. Bimmer is also supposed to bring the X5 eDrive concept plug-in hybrid stateside. We saw it in Frankfurt last fall and then in some on-the-road spy shots more recently. The SUV pairs a 245-horsepower four-cylinder gasoline engine with a 95-horsepower electric motor, and will be able to go as fast as 75 mph and as far as 20 miles on electric power alone. BMW says fuel efficiency will be about 62 miles per gallon, per the more lenient European Union test cycle. That's more than double the current diesel powered X5's 26 combined mpg rating handed out by the EPA. And the model's 0-60 time is less than seven seconds. If you'd like to know more, you can take the better part of the day and check out Bimmer's mighty long press release below. 2016 BMW M2 First Drive

Wed, Feb 17 2016

Don't skip down to the conclusions, because I'll save you the trouble and spell it out for you right here. The 2016 BMW M2 is superb. Lay out your criteria for a contemporary sport coupe. Then check all the boxes. There are gripes. We've gotten good at uncovering the little issues in an age where the difference between the best and worst car in a class is smaller than ever. But they're that: little. It's a small price to pay for a vehicle that delivers so much more to the driver than the M235i – engagement, performance, pleasure – that it seems a bargain at $52,695 to start. Moreover, it's the right-sized M car we've wanted since the M4 burst its chrysalis and turned into an extra-large, if not overweight, butterfly. BMW had us out to Monterey to sample two M2s: a 7-speed DCT on Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and a six-speed manual on the fog-kissed Pacific Coast Highway. The formula here is old-school – thank heavens. It's a compact sport coupe with swollen wheel arches and a hot-rodded inline-six. The proportions are classic: longish hood, short rear deck, reasonably airy greenhouse in the tradition of sporting BMWs, and plenty of meat on the sticky tires. Long Beach Blue paint provides depth to the sheetmetal scalloping and contrast to the fender flares – and the M2 looked great in this bold color. I can't say the same for the less-exciting grey example parked in the hospitality tent. Like most modern turbocharged BMWs, the torque curve is fatter than an In-N-Out Double Double, Animal Style. The overall rightness of the proportions compensates for the more polarizing details. The dimples in the rear bumper, the "scoops" in the lower secondary air inlets, the obligatory fender vent (which is at least small). They're all intended to communicate aggressive sportiness, and succeed to varying degrees, but it's just jewelry. Inside, BMW's excised some of the cheapness that plagued the 2 Series' predecessors. The blue contrasting stitching looks great, the sport steering wheel is perfectly sized, and the carbon-fiber patterned accents at least provide a little texture to break up an unapologetically black interior. On the other hand, the door pulls are not only cheap-looking, but also so large they're impossible to ignore. It's a baffling misstep in an otherwise simple and classy interior. As a quick aside, the HUD is clear and functional – not a new feature for BMWs, but worth noting.

Honda scores big in Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards [w/videos]

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

This year the Detroit Auto Show didn't just celebrate the automobile, it celebrated how we find out about the automobile, too. Partnering The One Club, this year introduced the 2014 One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Award to Cobo Hall, celebrating winners in five different categories of advertising: broadcast television, online, interactive, experiential, and print/outdoor. Winners in those categories were judged by 50 creative directors and journalists, while a Public Choice category was chosen from among nearly 20,000 online votes.
Honda walked off with three of the six awards, its Hands spot taking Broadcast honors, its Sound of Honda getting the Online category and Illusions winning Public Choice. Hyundai made the grade in Interactive with Driveway Decision Maker, Fiat captured Print/Outdoor with its "Letters" ad, and Toyota's Tundra Endeavor Campaign spot and BMW's A Window into the Near Future were co-winners for Experiential.
You can watch all of the press release and winning videos below or check out all of the finalists, announced last month, for a refresher.
