Up for sale is this super low-mileage 2005
BMW 525i Sport. This vehicle has 66,000
original miles. Unfortunately, this vehicle
was involved in fresh
water flood and is being sold with a New Jersey Salvage Title. We
are not sure
why this vehicle was branded a flood because we can see no sign of any
water damage at all and the vehicle is in perfect running order with
all the electronics working perfectly. Every switch and
button in this car is working the way it should. There is absolutely no
reason this vehicle should have been branded a salvage
title because this vehicle is PERFECT!
This BMW is very
clean and has a Metallic Blue exterior with Brown leather interior
accented
by real wood trimming. The leather seats are in like new condition and
they are also
heated and
fully powered with lumbar functions. This 5-series just turned 66k
miles (which is extremely low for this engine) and it runs and drives
fantastically. All these miles are highway miles and it shows. The
drive is so smooth, its like
floating on a
cloud. Every
feature in the car is working the way it should including the A/C. The
air conditioning in this car is ICE cold and the heat in this car is as
hot as you could want it to be. This vehicle is ready for its
new owner and needs nothing at all done to it.
This BMW is loaded up with every possible
option. It has full leather interior with heated seats, Navigation
system, sport package, steering wheel
controls, lumbar seats
that blow up with air,
power glass moonroof, In-dash CD player with premium sound system, XM
ready, wireless bluetooth enabled cell phone, xenon headlights, on board
computer,
remote keyless entry with alarm, traction
control, tiptronic transmission, and all the
power features you could possibly think of. This BMW comes with the original key
fob. We also have all the floor mats, complete owners manuals and
booklet set for this
car, the first aid kit, and the spare tire and jack. The
tool kit is 100% complete as well. This vehicle was
very well cared for and it
shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is
reliable and runs like a dream. The car good tires
all around with plenty on tread remaining. We have driven it 1000 miles
and it seems to be running and
driving 100%. You can literally jump in this vehicle and drive it 2,000
miles back home without any problems. We changed all the motor and
transmission fluids and the vehicle has good brakes, good rotors, and
good windshield wiper blades. The exterior of the vehicle is clean. The paint is nice and
glossy and all the body lines are perfect and straight. The paint
shines like glass and you can see your reflection in it. The body is in
above average condition and there is no real blemishes to point out on
this vehicle at all. The car shows extremely well, especially for its
age. There may be a small ding or two, but nothing that takes away from
this vehicles clean look. The interior of
the
vehicle is also super clean. The seats
have no cracks or rips and the leather is very firm and supple. The
dash and door panels are also very nice and clean. All the wood
trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition. The
interior is perfect condition in my
opinion. This is probably one of the best bimmers that you will find
on eBay. They dont get much better than this. This car
is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or
implied. This vehicle is being sold with a salvage title. It is the
buyers responsibility to know the laws and requirements for registering
a salvage vehicle in their state. If you would like to see the car and

Recharge Wrap-up: BMW i sales hit 50k, SsangYong SIV-2 concept
Wed, Feb 17 2016BMW sold its 50,000th i car in January. The i3, which launched in September 2013, made up roughly 83 percent of those sales. The considerably more expensive i8, which launched in June of 2014, understandably made up fewer sales. The i3 is currently sold in 49 countries, while most of the i8's sales came from the US, UK, Germany, and Norway. Through December, cumulative i3 sales reached 17,116 in the US, 5,063 in Germany, 4,494 in Norway, 3,747 in the UK and 1,348 in Switzerland. i8 sales were 2,820 in the US, 964 in the UK and 793 in Germany. BMW sold 29,513 i-Series cars in 2015, and 1,255 in January of 2016. Read more at Hybrid Cars. SsangYong will debut its SIV-2 concept at the Geneva Motor Show. The SIV-2 – which stands for Smart Interface Vehicle – uses a 48-volt mild hybrid system with a turbocharged, 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, 500-Wh battery pack and 10-kW electric motor. The Korean automaker says the modular SIV-2 platform can also accommodate plug-in hybrid and battery electric versions. Alongside the SIV-2, SsangYong will introduce a new Tivoli XLV crossover, based on the XLV Air concept, which is expected to offer competitive fuel economy. Read more at Green Car Reports. Worcester Polytechnic Institute is receiving a $1 million contract from the United States Advanced Battery Consortium (USABC) to make recycled plug-in hybrid batteries. The 50-percent cost-share contract will help Worcester Polytechnic scale up its recycling process to make batteries using recycled cathode material. The process, which USABC calls "novel and efficient," will make the batteries less costly than ones made with all-new material, "thereby offering a value-driven path towards improved sustainability." United States Council for Automotive Research executive director Steve Zimmer says, "These programs are critical to advancing the technology needed to meet both near- and long-term goals that will enable broader scale vehicle electrification." Alpina D3 may be coming to Frankfurt with 350 hp, AWD
Wed, 14 Aug 2013Rumors are swirling that Alpina, the tuning house that specializes in all things BMW, will followup its Geneva debut of the B3 Bi-Turbo with an oil-burning variant slated for debut at September's Frankfurt Motor Show. The news comes from Auto Zeitung, which reports that the second-generation D3 will be based off the Europe-only 335d.
This is a departure from the last D3, which had the four-cylinder turbo-diesel from the BMW 123d in a 3 Series body. The new model is expected to use a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-six, which will generate 350 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. That should scoot it to 62 miles per hour in under five seconds (likely while towing a tree stump). Both rear- and all-wheel drive should be available on the D3, and we imagine the thrill of this much power channeled through just the two rear wheels to be akin to skydiving sans parachute.
For our European friends that want an Alpina D3, but don't need more torque than any American full-size pickup, there may be plans to offer a four-cylinder variant that still delivers Alpina performance without a compromise in economy. We'll have more on the Alpina D3 when it debuts at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
