VERY LOW MILEAGE! ONE OWNER WITH ALL THE RECORDS! I bought this car when I was pregnant and wanted a safe and reliable car that would maintain great resale value. It has been all that and much more. So much fun to drive and a trip to the mountains is a no problem with the AWD. I spared no expense and got the Premium package and the Sport Package making it a 325xiT. The rack has never been used so is in pristine condition. Rear window wiper/washer, Rain-sensing windshield wipers w/automatic headlight control, Low liftover tailgate w/separately opening rear window, and Steptronic Transmission. Steptronic makes shifting gears in a BMW with an automatic transmission as dynamic and sporting as it is with a manual transmission. This flexible feature quickly transforms the six-speed automatic transmission in your BMW to a six-speed manual. Simply move the gear selector lever to activate Steptronic and you can shift gears up and down as with a manual transmission. Gears can be shifted with no need to use the gear selector lever at all, by pressing the keys integrated in the steering wheel. These paddles allow you to simply switch to manual mode in Steptronic when desired and your hands stay on the wheel at all times. Two buttons at the front serve to downshift, while two at the rear of the steering wheel are used to upshift. This also contributes to your driving safety as you don't need to take your eyes off the road for even a moment. It has been driven gently by a single mom with a kid and was covered with the Millennium Automotive Protection Plan. The years went by way before the mileage limit. Recently fully detailed and SUPER CLEAN AND PRETTY. It combines everything a driver can possibly want. Performance , handling and a bit more room than a sedan is a wonderful package. It is very stable at high speeds , comfortable and most important fun to drive.

M-fographic breaks down the history of BMW performance machinery

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

Few characters carry the kind of clout among performance enthusiasts as the letter M. For 35 years now, that one letter has adorned over 300,000 BMWs, each tuned to deliver a higher degree of performance than the stock models on which they're based.
The M division has worked up nearly 100 different models over the past third of a century, which can leave even the most expert among Bimmer fanatics bewildered. Fortunately British auto loan service Carfinance247 has commissioned this handy infographic to make sense of it all, and you can check it out below to see what the letter M really stands for.

Mercedes leads in US luxury car thefts

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Mercedes-Benz makes some fine automobiles. The Silver Arrow'd cars are so good, apparently, that thieves can't help but try to steal them. The German brand is at the top of the charts for luxury car thefts in the US, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, with New York City leading the way. (And those New Yorkers complain about Detroit being bad!)
The C-Class was the most stolen model, with 485 ganked between 2009 and 2012 in NYC alone, while the E-Class and S-Class (which also boasted the worst recovery rate, at 59 percent) both finished in the top ten. Following the C-Class was the BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G. Not surprisingly, each of these were the most common models in their respective lineups. Los Angeles and Miami are also prime hotspots for luxury car thefts, according to the Detroit News report.
While getting your car stolen is pretty awful, there was one inspiring statistic compiled by the NICB - the average recovery rate across the board was 84 percent, with the Cadillac CTS getting recovered 91 percent of the time.

BMW puts a sheep in wolf's clothing with 2 Series Active Tourer M Sport

Thu, 27 Mar 2014

BMW is charting new territory with the 2 Series. No, not the two-door model - that's just the kind of rear-drive coupe for which the brand is known. But the Active Tourer (which only shares its series designation with the coupe) is a front-drive tall hatchback/MPV category buster, and that's not exactly what comes to mind when you think of Bimmers. As such, the 2 Series Active Tourer is bound to turn off some of the brand's faithful, but this latest M Sport kit could at least ease the pain somewhat.
The sport package for the Active Tourer packs all the usual suspects: a more aggressive aero kit, retuned suspension, blacked-out grille, 17- or 18-inch alloys and an interior with sports seats trimmed in blue-stitched Alcantara. Top all that off with an Estoril Blue paint job and you've got a compact family hauler that might look the part, and maybe handle a bit tighter, yet it naturally stops short of the full M treatment (or even an M Performance spec like you'd find in the M235i coupe). All of which is probably just as well, because that might be the only thing BMW purists would object to more than the existence of a front-drive BMW MPV in the first place.
