RARE, LOW MILEAGE 2005.5 (B7 platform) AUDI S4 Prestige Package in Brilliant Red Exterior and stunning silver leather interior with hard to find factory carbon fiber trim.  I am the third owner of this beautiful vehicle.  The Audi recently passed PA emissions and inspection.  I planed on trading it in on our the new vehicle for our family, but I feel based on the service history, low mileage, condition, color combo rarity, and care put into this vehicle the dealerships offer was unacceptable and I could do better selling it outright. The interior is 99% perfect. Look at the driver’s seat for instance, there is not even a single love handle mark in the leather.  There is not a single wear mark on any buttons surface and all electrical functions work.

Many of you may ask, is this car really that hard to locate?  Well, search Autotrader using this criteria:  2005.5 to 2008, 6-speed manual, under 75,000 miles, with navigation.  There are less than 12 for sale total in the U.S.!  Of the 12 or so listed not one is asking under $20k.  Now if you want red, coupe, premium package…this is the only one.

This car has been priced extremely fairly based on what’s out there, let alone is service history and cared for condition. It goes without saying that a vehicle like this rarely comes along and IMHO this is as near to perfect as a 74k car could ever be.

That being said, within the last 3,000 miles the following items have been serviced:

  1. Factory wheels have been chromed.  Yes, these are OEM Audi S4 wheels.  This is the only S4 I have ever seen with chrome wheels and it really completes the high end look.
  2. Transmission and differential fluids flushed
  3. Oil changed on schedule
  4. New brake pads front and rear
  5. New rear Audi OEM rotors
  6. New spark plugs
  7. 4 New all Season Continental Pure Contact Tires
  8. New front upper and lower control arms
  9. Replaced front driver side CV axel (CV boot was leaking)
  10. New wheel bearings
  11. New HID headlamp Bulbs (no flickering issues like some S4’s have with the ballasts)
  12. Coolant system fluid flush
  13. New coolant system tank (old was looking yellow due to age so it was replaced)
  14. New wiper blades
  15. Battery replaced with heavy cycle AGM series
  16. LLumar (very light) window film
  17. New serpentine belt and tensioner
  18. All season VW factory Audi factory front and rear floor mats, including trunk
  19. New fuel filter
  20. Car cover
  21. Audi winter OE floor mats

Aftermarket items include (all completed within the last 10k, costing around $7000 total in parts alone)

  1. JHM 93 Octane performance engine management ECU tune
  2. RS4 cat-back performance exhaust
  3. Vogtland springs and coilovers front/rear
  4. Porsche Cayanne big brake kit front
  5. SS stainless steel brake lines front
  6. Ventilated Brake disc rotors (front only)
  7. 5mm H&R spacers front and rear, used to clear big brake kit
  8. 034 motorsports large air intake
  9. Pipercross performance foam air filter
  10. Wolfsburg shift knob (factory OEM leather knob will be included in sale)
  11. RS4 gas/brake/foot rest aluminum peddle set
  12. Apikol snub mount upgrade
  13. Mario Andretti personally signed the (unused) ash tray cover…cool!

Feel free to contact me for a phone number.  I AM NOT DEALER, and tire kickers are not appreciated. NO TRADES, again, only selling to do a little better than the dealer trade in offer.  No hurry to sell, so lowballers please look elsewhere.  Clear title.  All receipts for work included. No pets, no smoking, no odors, garage kept. Overall, a exceptionally clean car.  I reserve the right to end the auction early or sell locally, so if interested, please make me a (reasonable) offer.  If you want a PPI, that’s fine.  I will be happy to take the car to the local ASE mechanic who has previously inspected the car to verify its excellent condition.  Also, in full disclosure the dealership we were going to trade it in too found that the first owner of this vehicle was in a very low speed parking lot fender bender and the rear bumper was replaced.  According to the insurance report it was a very minor collision and the air bags did not deploy and no mechanical or frame/structural items required repair, only cosmetic (i.e. new plastic bumper).  Audi did an excellent job replacing the bumper w/a oem one and obviously it never created any issues for the second or third owner (us).  We didn’t even know the damage occurred since the auto check report didn’t show the cosmetic repair when we bought the car.  Again, a very clean car inside and out.  One other note, the pictured 19” wheels are now sold.  The car will include the chrome avant wheels.  I am open to offers, but will not entertain hagglers or unreasonable requests.  If you think this is not the car for you, or an unfair offering, then please and respectably by all means look elsewhere. THANK YOU!!!!

Audi and Porsche squabble over future product platforms

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

In the buildup to the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi delivered an amusing video that worked on the playful rivalry between the German brand and its favorite frenemy, Porsche. We called it sibling rivalry, and at the time, it may have been just that. But just like sibling rivalries, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that's just what seems to be about to happen in the formerly peaceful Volkswagen Group family.
A new report from Automobile calls out the growing animosity between Porsche, who is backed up by Bentley, and Audi, whose primary ally is Lamborghini. No blows have actually been thrown, although there is a fair amount of "he said, she said" going on.
As Porsche tells it, for example, the new global fullsize SUV architecture being developed by Audi isn't up to snuff, citing size and structure issues, as well as an inability to accommodate a wide variety of engines.

Refreshed Audi A6 gets ready for Paris debut

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Audi A6 remains a solidly luxurious choice in the deeply competitive executive sedan segment, duking it out with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series and Lexus GS, among others. Having been on sale since 2011, though, it's starting to become just a tiny bit stale. Cue the refresh.
Expected to make its debut in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the long-roof Avant/Allroad variant shown here gives us our first glimpse at some of the tweaks Audi has in store for its A6 range as a whole.
In general, this is pretty standard refresh stuff - new headlights that retain the same general shape as the current car but add a new DRL pattern, while there are also some subtle tweaks to the front fascia. The rear taillights have also been freshened (although as only the A6 sedan is sold in the US, it's likely the taillights we see will be different), and some minor changes have been made to the rear bumper. According to our spies, the cabin and MMI infotainment system could see some tweaks, while the oily bits under the hood could be in for for some minor changes as well.

Audi RS3 Sportback is the hottest hatch

Fri, Dec 12 2014

Fans of compact, European vehicles that mix luxury and performance should be in paradise right now. There's already the 320-horsepower M235i from BMW and the 355-hp CLA45 AMG (or A45 elsewhere) from Mercedes-Benz, but you can now add one more to the list. Meet the Audi RS3 Sportback, which boasts 362 hp and five doors, too. With propulsion coming from Audi's turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder that makes 343 pound-feet of torque (465 newton-meters), the RS3 Sportback can scramble to 62 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds. Top speed is limited to 155 mph, but buyers can opt to raise that top end to 174 if desired. The inline-five is mated to a seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox, sending power to the ground via Quattro all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, which can send between 50 and 100 percent of the power to the rear wheels as needed. To cope with the boosted output, the suspension has been lowered by an inch compared to the standard A3 Sportback, and magnetic dampers are a further option. Buyers can also tick the box for carbon-fiber-ceramic brake rotors at the front. The RS3 goes on a diet its latest iteration, too, weighing 121 pounds less than its predecessor. While buyers get potent power, Audi keeps the looks understated. The exterior wears a front airdam with larger openings and some aluminum flourishes, and a diffuser at the back gets some more matte trim. A roof spoiler and aluminum look for the mirror housings add a few other touches to catch the eye. Inside, all versions get sport seats covered in Nappa leather and a flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in leather and Alcantara. But for the really sporty look, buyers can spec optional RS buckets with a carbon shell that weigh 15 pounds less than the standard units. European deliveries of the RS3 Sportback begin in the summer. Autoblog reached out to Audi spokesperson Mark Dahncke who told us there are currently "no plans to bring it to the US." Scroll down to read Audi's full announcement of this five-door hot hatch. Power in compact form – the new Audi RS 3 Sportback Ingolstadt, 2014-12-12 Sporty top model of the A3 model series Most powerful production five-cylinder in RS history with 270 kW (367 hp) 0 – 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 4.3 seconds – 0.3 seconds faster than the previous model Hot, throaty sound, exhilaratingly free-revving and brawny power – the five cylinder engines from Audi are legendary.
