2003 Audi A8L AWD. Garage kept all its life. Navigation equipped in the dash. This is a two owner vehicle that has been well cared for and adult female driven. It has 135,500 miles and used as a family car it's whole life and not driven by some college kid who abused it. It came fully loaded with BOSE sound system 6 changer CD/Cassette player, sun-roof, heated seats, navigation, rear sunshades etc. It has the ski package boot that allows users to put their skis in the trunk through the back seat. Also AUDI equipped first aid kit in the rear console. PLEASE REVIEW PICTURE OF ACTUAL WINDOW STICKER FOR ALL THE EQUIPMENT. This car has the upgraded 17" wheels with matching Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires that have about 5000 miles of ware on them. The timing belt was recently replaced and other maintainence at a cost of $5000.00. The only thing I can find wrong is a ding near the driver's side door handle and two lights on the dash that I am currently exploring the cause. These are windshield fluid "low" indicator and "low tire pressure" indicator even though the reservoir is full and tires are inflated properly. It has front AUDI rubber mats over carpet mats. The rear window sun shade is automatic by dash switch. There is front and back parking indicators. Please keep in mind I am selling this vehicle for a friend. His name is Harold, a really nice guy who will welcome any questions by phone. His cell # is 828-230-0747. I asked him if this car had ever been wrecked and he advised me that the previous owner, his wife's boss said that it had been involved in some "fender-bender" so be sure and get a carfax on it to clear your mind. The car looks great to me and I only minimally had to clean it as Harold and his wife are very clean people. But, please don't expect a new car when you show up to see it as it was the family roadster for over 135,000 miles. It does have a few little blemishes etc. but overall I think this will make someone very proud to own it. It's a very sharp, fully German engineered luxury car that is very sporty. You could buy it for your teen but keep in mind this is a very fast V8 with 310 HP high performance vehicle. I took it for a test drive and was very impressed by the way it handled and engine performance is incredible. I guess it should for a car that cost almost $70,000 new! But, it also a very safe one with lots of equipment designed in it to keep any occupant safe in a crash. Don't PAYPAL...too expensive. If you win the bid we will work out the payment... probably cash or check on delivery. This car is located in Asheville, NC. So, come pick it up and stay a few days. Also, keep in mind this car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to pull this ad early. If there is a bid, I won't pull the ad and will sell to the winning bidder. |

Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. 2015 Audi Q3
Mon, Apr 13 2015There are two ways to approach a brand-new segment in the auto industry. First, an automaker can take a gamble and introduce a completely new vehicle, catering to the specific demands of the marketplace(s) in question. In the compact, premium CUV segment, we've seen Buick do this with the Encore, and Mercedes-Benz with the GLA-Class. The other option is to introduce a vehicle already sold in another market. Considering the amount of time it takes to bring a new vehicle from paper to production, there is plenty to gain in the short-term with this approach. It's not without its downsides, though, as we found after a week behind the wheel of the 2015 Audi Q3, a vehicle that was initially launched in 2011. Cute though it may be – it was referred to at least once by a passerby during our testing as "totes adorbs" – Ingolstadt's decision to introduce a vehicle that's already been on sale for four years, and is effectively approaching the last half of its lifecycle, leaves the Q3 at a significant disadvantage relative to the newer competition. Despite crossing its first auto show stage four years ago, the Q3 remains a handsome little bugger. Audi's designs, while conservative, tend to age very well, and the compact Q3 is no exception. It's like a scaled-down Q5 in most respects, although certain design pieces, like its more aggressively raked rear window and shorter front and rear overhangs, belie the significantly smaller Q3's figure. Due to its age, the Q3 was, fortunately, designed before the current A3 hit the market. That means it avoids the unattractive, minimalist dash of the A3, opting for a more traditional Audi design, with a strip of brushed aluminum on the passenger's side, a user-friendly center stack and a suitably large nav screen front and center. While the overall layout is attractive, the material quality is not what we'd expect of a newer Audi. There's nothing that feels exceedingly cheap – the plastics just feel old and too familiar. It's difficult to describe, but as soon as you climb in the Q3, things like the switchgear for the HVAC controls immediately remind you that this is a vehicle that's been on sale since 2011. While our definition of interior quality has evolved over the years, our idea of a driver-friendly cabin has not. The Q3 scores highly in this regard, featuring the elevated seating position that makes CUVs so popular with the general public.
2013 Audi S8
Thu, 04 Apr 2013Italy To Monaco In Ingolstadt's Crushing Performance Saloon
I had an engagement a while back with the Audi RS5 Cabriolet in Monaco, and getting me from my lair in northern Italy by plane connection is an utter waste of time since the first flight is always to either Paris, Zurich, or Rome, three cities not at all on the way to Monaco. So I phoned Audi Italia about a quick loan of a car for the three-hour-ish drive to this event, and they were simpatici enough to propose that I keep whatever they gave me for two weeks. And what they gave me was a loaded Audi S8 with properly chosen 20-inch Dunlop SP Winter Sport treads attached.
This was about to be a much cooler two weeks than I had planned.
