I am listing this car to see if there is any car collectors and/or Audi fans out there

We are leaving the country soon therefore we do not need it any longer.

This is a classic daily driver. I drove it about 6 to 7 miles a day since 3 year. My expenses on this car so far = 1 alternator belt, I set of wiper blades, a complete new exhaust (mainly due to the fact that Midas had done a s…. job in the past with the former lady owner, one new tire and i new right front wheel bearing !

The lady former owner had replaced many parts on this car…due only to the fact that she was taken to the cleaner each time she went to the garage for whatever reason. I have tons of (unjustified) bills for parts replacement for this car

What the car needs:

Needs a bit of TLC

It has a few scratches due to its age and overall paint is good but will need a good waxing and the clear varnish is peeling off . There is a very small ding on the left rear (hard to really see – see pic)

This car has 3 things to look after (but nothing that stops the car from running superbly well everyday):

1 – There is some kind of “ground electrical something” somewhere For instance the signal light arrows on dashboard are flashing weak when headlight are on (but all lights are perfect though. Sometimes when engine is started cold the overheating beeper come on then goes away. The radio sometimes plays only on left speaker then goes back to all of them. . The oil temperature gauge is locked into hot position and will eventually come back to normal. ABS light is on and there are some beep when turning steering wheel. The odometer stopped working with this “electrical ground thing. It stopped at 126 K miles and now I think we have driven it less than 2K miles. The windshield washer pump stopped working as well but wipers work perfectly well. . So I thing the overall “electrical” problem is most probably a ground connection somewhere, but I am everything excepted an electrician ! ! !

2 – I am no mechanic but it looks like there is a little piece of shaft (about 3 in long) missing between the throttle and a vacuum control of some kind ion top of the engine

3 – Needs a few squirts of oil in various suspension arms. This is really nothing but need a lift to do it and I do not have one !

4- Sunshades need TLC (mirror)

The only thing not original on this car is the radio.

All rubber trimmings are nice and soft

Good chrome

2015 Audi A3 gets augmented reality app in place of owners manual [w/video]

There have been a few, seemingly half-hearted, attempts at reinventing the owner's manual - that thick stack of bone-dry information that you only look at if you're well and truly stumped. Hyundai tried swapping in iPads with the Equus, which didn't really take, while Chrysler switched its owner's manuals to digital form in 2010. Chrysler subsidiary Dodge even released a smart phone app that included all the info contained in the paper manual.
Audi, though, may have taken things to their logical conclusion - augmented reality. While it'll likely be more practical once Google Glass and other wearable tech is adopted on a wide scale, augmented reality allows users to project information on scenes, usually through a phones camera, which is how Audi does it.
Called eKurzinfo, the app looks through your phones camera to identify and explain different parts of the car. According to Metaio, the app's developer, the app recognizes 300 different parts of the car. Our sister site, Engadget, provides the best example of the app's abilities - if you point it at the engine temperature gauge, the app tells you what the gauge measures, and if the reading is too high, eKurzinfo will even show you where to find the coolant tank.

Porsche offering 250-hp 718 Cayman, Boxster in China

Porsche is studying a new approach in the lucrative Chinese market – less power. Automotive News Europe reports that the famed German manufacturer will sell less powerful versions of the 718 Cayman and Boxster in the People's Republic. In fact, the new cars are already on Porsche's Chinese consumer page. The hope, 718 chief Jan Roth told Automotive News Europe, is to replicate the success Porsche's sister company Audi has had with the TT. "A lot of the TTs that Audi sells in China, the smaller displacement 1.8-liter versions with rear-wheel instead of all-wheel-drive, are priced below that, Mercedes too," Roth said. We're guessing the comments about rear-wheel drive and a 1.8-liter engine are either typos or something was lost in translation, because Audi's Chinese website only lists a 2.0-liter engine, and most gearheads know the TT rides on a front-drive platform. Audi's success is largely down to price Â– 542,800 yuan ($81,549, at today's rates) for a base TT. Roth called 600,000 yuan "a magical threshold for customers in China." To hit that price point, Porsche is dropping the 718's 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder Â– offered North America and Europe with 300 horsepower in base form Â– to 250 ponies. The Cayman starts at 588,000 yuan ($88,340) while the Boxster is 598,000 yuan ($89,842). The 350-hp Cayman S will carry on unchanged. According to ANE, Roth said Porsche's Chinese strategy could drive 718 sales up to 4,500 units a year by 2017, nearly double the 2,500 Boxsters and Caymans sold in 2015. Could a similar lower-tiered strategy work in the US? We'll need to put on our speculation hats. In the US, the base car is about 81 percent of the price of the 350-horsepower S model. If Porsche were to offer the same discount for the hypothetical, 250-hp 718s, it could set the starting prices at $43,659 for the Cayman and $45,360 for the Boxster. That lines up neatly with the $43,500 TT Coupe, but this theoretical 250-hp Boxster would fall about $1,640 less than Audi's soft top. We shouldn't forget Porsche's expansive options catalog Â– we doubt there'd be a lot of sub-$50,000 718s on dealer lots. But still, slashing over $10,000 off the price of a $54,000 car is a big ask Â– Porsche would almost have to de-content such a lower-tier model. But Â– and this is a Kim K-sized but Â– moving the 718 downmarket would open the brand to a new range of consumers. Not only would these new cars be the cheapest sportscars from Porsche money could buy.

Audi prepping minor refresh for S6

Audi is well underway with testing for all of the refreshed versions of its A6-based sedan. We've already shown you shots of the Euro-spec A6 Allroad (which will wear some of its styling with our US-spec A6 sedan), and now we have some shots of a car that will actually arrive in the United States - the S6.
Like the Allroad, this will be quite a modest refresh, with tweaks to the headlights and taillights, as well as some slightly revised front and rear fascias. The headlights should get a new LED DRL pattern, although we doubt the changes will be much more drastic than that.
As with the Allroad, it seems likely that Audi will make a few very small changes to the interior, while the MMI infotainment system should also see an update. Changes under the hood, though, are more difficult to guess. That said, minor changes could be in store, but don't expect a dramatic increase in power or performance.
