1954 Aston Martin DB3S.  Authentic race cars have brought over 30 million dollars as there were only 30 made.  I included a photo of what the car will look like with a new body on it.  (it does not look like that now it is burned) This car had a fiberglass body on it, with a BMW engine over aston martin frame and suspension.  I have not seen car in person, but only by photos and sale is by photos only.  Title says 1954 Aston Martin.  The insurance company paid off $100,000.00 for this loss.  New DBS fiberglass bodies are available commercially, or you can do a new aluminum re-body for the big bucks. It is located in an insurance storage lot and will be brought out by forklift.  Payment must be made in 72 hours and pick up made immediately.  We can assist with shipping, but buyer pays for cost of shipping.  This is truly a chance of a lifetime.  Car is burned so it will need to be shipped. You pay for shipping and we get it loaded.  Car is located in Savannah Georgia which is great for international shipping, but will be moved forthwith, so buy it now and save an extra thousand bucks on shipping.  It will be moved to Louisiana, where $1000 shipping will be added to bid price in 3 days.  Nonrefundable deposit, no returns.  When are you going to find another opportunity to get one of the these?  Unless you are a billionaire, basically never.  You snooze, you lose, as it will certainly sell.

Get lost in Evo's sublime 2013 Car of the Year testing

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Every year Evo stages its Car of the Year test, bringing the best performance cars in the world to one location for an epic shootout. This year the magazine pitted eight CotY finalists against each other on Route Napoleon in Southern France - Evo claims it's the "best road in the world" - and then proceeded to nitpick the smallest of faults on each car until the winner could be named. You see, this year's lineup of machines was just so good that only one car obviously wasn't CotY material from the get-go. Can you guess which one judging from the list below?
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
- Audi R8 V10 Plus

Nissan could have bought a stake in Aston Martin as early as 2012

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

Aston Martin has a very interesting future ahead of it. While the British brand appeared to be struggling with aging tech for a while, fresh investment from Daimler may have shown a light toward the future with the brand getting engines and electronics from them. Also, former Renault-Nissan top exec Andy Palmer has jumped ship from the French/Japanese automaker to become CEO of the much smaller sports car company. Interestingly, though, new reports from unnamed Nissan sources have indicated that Palmer has been pushing to work with AM for years.
Three unnamed company insiders told Reuters that Palmer made attempts to convince Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn in 2012 and 2013 to invest in Aston Martin, but his proposals were shot down both times for unspecified reasons, according to Automotive News. "We looked carefully at the proposal but we passed on it," said one of the sources.
You can easily see why Palmer was eying Aston Martin even back in 2012. It's no secret that the British sports car mavens were in need of extra funding, well before the Daimler investment. Building vehicles these days is only getting more expensive with stronger safety and emissions requirements. Just look at the brand's desperate hope to get a side-impact crash exemption to keep selling its models in the US as an example.

Supercar parade entering highway is mesmerizing

Thu, 09 May 2013

In what must have looked and sounded to motorists on the M6 like an invasion of The Swarm, a parade of 50 enthusiast gems leaving a charity event were caught shooting down the on-ramp and merging into traffic. There were plenty of Porsches joining the 959 and Ducktail above, Aston Martins going back to the badboy V8 of the last millennium, a Ferrari Testarossa, a TVR and numerous other Easter eggs.
There were not, however, plenty of turn signals, with someone counting just five among the fifty engaging in proper use of the blinker. One reason put forth for that is the same reason we're posting this video, which is from last Summer, below: "because supercar." Enjoy.
