1999 Jdm Spec Honda Acura Integra Type R Dc2 B18c5 Rare Yellow Recaro Interior on 2040-cars
Park Ridge, New Jersey, United States
|
For sale we have a Japanese spec, 1999 Integra Type R , in Phoenix
Yellow with matching yellow factory type e blk/yellow interior. The
options from the factory on this car include, yellow Recaro front seats,
yellow stitched shift boot, yellow stitched steering wheel, yellow stitched rear seats, factory rear tinted glass and metal pedal
covers. The tinted glass on the glass has no hole for a rear wiper, not a delete, just no hole. The 1998 to 2000 Type R Integras are highly prized as these
cars are the final perfected forms of the dc2 Integra Type R. While
exact production numbers are not available, the Japanese spec type r, in
Phoenix yellow with yellow interior, is possibly the rarest off all Type R's. Although I hesitate to call this car an Integra Type Rx, we have spoken with a contact at a japanese Honda dealer and he believes that this is in fact a Type Rx, because of the factory yellow interior and factory tinted glass. The interior code on the inner door jamb reads type E black/yellow indicating that this car was born with the yellow interior. Our contact in Japan believes that the original owner declined a couple options from the Type Rx package like blue tinted carbon interior accents, clock and keyless entry that would normally be included in the Type Rx package. Included in the sale of the car will be an original Type Rx Japanese brochure from Honda.
This particular example, 1999 JAPANESE SPEC INTEGRA TYPE R #583 appears to have been nicely cared for throughout its lifetime, and is in overall excellent condition. The mileage currently reads 103,839 km (approx 64,522 miles), this number may go up as car is occasional driven on nice days. The car is currently titled with it's ten digit vin (DC2-1400504) in Florida. The car is listed under a dc4 U.S. vin as ebay wouldn't let me list with the real 10 digit vin. This is not a converted clipped car, this is a rear deal, right hand drive, all original factory car. The only non OEM parts on this car are the spoon drop in air filter, the Jasma cat back exhaust and aftermarket pioneer mini disc radio. These modifications were performed in japan by a previous owner and the car, as you see it, is exactly as it arrived from japan after purchase. All of these modifications are easily returned to stock, if the new owner chooses to do so. Upon arrival in the U.S. the car was taken to the Acura dealership, where it was given a clean bill of health and any necessary maintenance was performed. There are no check engine lights, funny noises, rattles or mechanical issues with this car, everything functions exactly as Honda intended it to. The car is used and does show minimal wear. The body panels are all original Honda parts and the paint appears to be to be original as well, with the exception of the front bumper, there has been a couple paint chips touched up on the hood and one on fender, there appears to be small front bumper scrape that was touched up as well, again these repairs were made by a previous owner. There are also a couple paint chips on the driver side door edge and a couple on the inner driver side door jamb, where it appears that the door may have been closed on the seat belt. As far as I can see there are 2 dings on the car one on the rear hatch by the Honda emblem and one on the filler panel under the rear tail lights. They could most likely be fixed with paintless dent repair. There is a small crease in the right side front corner of the hood, please reference pictures. Other than these flaws the body and paint are in excellent condition, the paint shines brighly as it should. The interior is clean and shows only a little wear on the driver side yellow Recaro, which would clean up with a light cleaning.. It appears that at one time a previous owner had a dash mounted navigation or radar detector that left an imprint on the dashboard. Other than that the interior appears to be in extremely good condition, the original Honda floor mats are also still in place. We have chosen not to repair or repaint any panels, steam clean the seats or even to buff the paint, as the condition of the car is so original, we leave these small imperfections to be taken care of by new owner, if they choose to do so. Please be sure to reference the provided pictures. I have done my best to illustrate any flaws so you have a real idea of the condition of this car, some of the flaws are small and can be tough to see in pictures. If you are truly interested in the car, please do not hesitate to ask for more pictures or contact me for more information or questions in general at (201) 560-7429 (Albert) The car is currently located in New Jersey, the buyer will be responsible for either picking up the car or arranging pickup and delivery, we will assist in any way possible. We welcome potential buyers to come check the car out in person, by appointment. I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Please if you do not plan on buying the car do not bid, also please do not ask me what my reserve price is. A deposit of $500 will be required within 2 days of auctions end. 0 feedback bidders must contact me first before bidding. |

The 2017 Acura NSX will cost $156,000
Fri, Dec 18 2015Back in October, when our Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin drove the 2017 Acura NSX for the first time in the Bay Area and at Sonoma Raceway, we guessed that the hybrid supercar would start at around the $170,000 price point. We weren't that far off – it starts at $156,000, and tops out around $205,000. But now that we have a solid sense of what Acura thinks this car is worth, and we know what they benchmarked the NSX against, we can compare apples to apples. Let's be clear: we like this car. Austin described it as "makes you giggle" fast, everyday-comfortable, and chock full of impressive party tricks like seamless shifting – with only a few foibles, like numb steering, to spoil the illusion of perfection. Back to the benchmarked cars. Acura says the NSX will compete with the Audi R8, and was developed to compete with the now-superseded 458 Italia. Let's start with the 2017 R8 V10 Plus – pricing hasn't been released, and a direct Euro-to-USD conversion isn't the whole story, but it starts at the equivalent of $179,000 in Europe. For that, the R8 V10 Plus provides 610 horsepower, a seven-speed DCT, and a 3.2-second sprint to 60 mph. The 458's successor, the 488 GTB, should be more expensive than the $243,000 the old model started at, and provides 661 hp, a seven-speed dual-clutch, and a 0-60 time of around three seconds (official numbers haven't been released for acceleration). For less money than either of these cars, the NSX delivers ... less. Total system output is 573 hp. It has a slight edge in gear count, at nine speeds, and should beat the R8 to 60 mph. But there's no V10, let alone Ferrari's feral turbocharged V8. It'll be up to buyers to determine if the compromises involved are worth a few thousand dollars in savings, if no options are selected. It should also be noted that Acura describes this as its first "built-to-order" vehicle, but the limited external color options and interior schemes don't appear to be much different than the extent to which you can customize an Accord. The configurator goes live on February 25th, if you want to see for yourself. Lastly, in what now seems to be a necessary part of a new high-end car launch, Acura will auction off VIN 001, the first production NSX, at Barrett-Jackson in January. All proceeds from that auction will benefit two charities: the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground. Acura MDX Prototype reveals slick new looks, with Type S close behind
Wed, Oct 14 2020The next-generation Acura MDX is here, almost. This three-row crossover you’re looking at is technically being called the MDX Prototype by Acura, but itÂ’s about as close to production as any prototype can get. And what a looker it is. Acura has followed up the slick TLX sedan with another attractive design. With the MDX now the best-selling Acura nameplate of all time, this one was even more important for Acura to get right. Just like the TLX, it benefits from a much longer dash-to-axle dimension, measuring in six inches longer than the outgoing MDX. The pentagon grille, and Chicane-shaped DRLs in the headlights now grace a much wider car. Acura gave this MDX a wider track and a three-inch longer wheelbase, both aiding in making it appear far more graceful and sporty. Acura clearly isnÂ’t holding much of anything back with this MDX Prototype versus the final production car, and weÂ’re liking what we can see so far. Many of the design elements we liked so much on the TLX are transferred over to this crossover body style, and Acura has done so with class. The MDXs you see here are riding on new 21-inch wheels that are bolted up to a new light truck platform and chassis specifically tailored for the MDX. Acura says it provides for more athletic handling, greater ride comfort and a quieter cabin versus the outgoing MDX. ItÂ’s even more rigid than the RDXÂ’s body. Just like the new TLX, Acura has gone with a double wishbone front suspension design to make the MDX an even sportier driver. ThereÂ’s more excitement in the powertrain options for the new MDX, too. Acura promises a Type S version of the MDX is coming with the same 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 youÂ’ll find under the hood of the TLX Type S. It will make 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque (same as the TLX) in this application. The standard engine will continue to be AcuraÂ’s 3.5-liter V6 that makes 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. Both engines will be mated to AcuraÂ’s 10-speed automatic transmission and send power to all four wheels using the latest fourth-generation SH-AWD system. Not all of the performance details are available yet, but Acura says the MDX can be had with four-piston Brembo brake calipers and comes with a drive mode selector that allows you to adjust ride, handling, steering, suspension and powertrain characteristics. More Type S-specific details will need to wait. The interior matches the exterior for flair and elegance.
2021 Acura TLX First Drive | The mojo is returning
Thu, Sep 24 2020Buildup for the 2021 Acura TLX started more than a year ago when Acura released the stunning Type S Concept. It was long, low, wide and graced with gorgeous rear-drive proportions. Plus, it was slathered in some of the best blue paint we’ve ever seen. Acura could not have thought of a better way to say, “Hey, weÂ’re back!” ItÂ’s no surprise that the Type S Concept is a dead ringer for the production TLX. Acura designers told us the car was just about finished when the concept debuted. So yeah, the new TLX and TLX Type S were always going to look this good. The latter won't be arriving until next spring, but our first drive of this next-gen base TLX has us hopeful for the Type S and its 3.0-liter turbocharged V6. And maybe just a little nervous, too. The bones are really good. Acura developed a new, unique platform for this TLX that was built with performance in mind from the get-go. It's not just an Accord in a fancy suit. With crossovers on the rise, Acura says its shrinking number of sedan buyers are more passionate about driving dynamics than crossover buyers, allowing them to focus on performance to an even greater degree. It makes sense. We heartily approve. The result of this performance focus is the most rigid body in any Acura not named NSX. YouÂ’ll find more advanced materials like aluminum and press-hardened steel in its makeup than any previous Acura sedan. It has a wider track (+1.2-inch front and +1.6-inch rear), a 2.2-inch wider body, a 3.7-inch longer wheelbase and a 0.5-inch shorter height. Lastly, the dash-to-axle dimension is 7.8 inches longer, giving it those sweet rear-drive proportions despite being a front-wheel-drive platform. 2021 Acura TLX Advance View 38 Photos If you're expecting more rear passenger and trunk space with the extended length, keep looking. Rear legroom is up 0.4 inch, and trunk space by 0.3 cubic-feet to 13.5 – paltry gains for how much larger the car got. The size growth benefitted style and body proportions more than it did functional considerations. Then, thereÂ’s the new suspension: double wishbones up front and a five-link rear. Acura previously used a MacPherson strut design in the front suspension and the move back to a double-wishbone design is great news for driving enthusiasts. Acura's well-regarded TL and TSX of the mid-2000s had double wishbones up front, as did many of Honda's greatest hits of yesteryear (Integra, Prelude, Civic Si, etc.).
