I HAVE TO SAY, I LOVE DRIVING THIS CAR. IT RUNS SMOOTHLY AND THE MOTOR HAS GREAT POWER WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND NO ISSUES. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GREAT AND THE SUSPENSION IS FINE. 80% LEFT ON THE TIRES AND EVERYTHING WORKS INCLUDING THE TOP, WINDOWS, ICE COLD AC AND HOT HEAT. CRUISE WORKS AS WELL AS THE POWER SEATS. THE MOTOR HAS NO LEAKS AND IS DRY AS A BONE. 90% OF THE COSMETIC ISSUES ON THIS CAR HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THE FLORIDA SUN. THE CAR IS GREAT ON THE HIGHWAY AND AROUND TOWN. GOOD GAS MILEAGE AND BEST OF ALL IT'S A ONE OWNER CAR. THE TITLE WAS ISSUED ON 09/09/2004 AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FLORIDA CAR SO NO RUST ISSUES. NEW BATTERY AND RECENT BRAKES. THE SEATS CAN BE RECOVERED IN CLOTH WHICH IS MY PREFERENCE FOR A CONVERTIBLE FOR A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS AND THE REST OF THE LITTLE STUFF CAN BE ADDRESSED IN TIME BECAUSE NONE OF IT IS URGENT. Volvo promises new direct-injected diesels, 8-speed auto
Tue, 09 Apr 2013As a part of eliminating its dependence on Ford platforms and powertrains, Volvo has previously announced information about its Volvo Engine Architecture (VEA) and Scalable Platform Architecture (SPA), but now we're finally getting some details about what will power some of the Swedish automaker's next-generation products.
The biggest key to VEA on the diesel engines is a new technology Volvo calls i-ART. This system uses unique injectors at each cylinder capable of monitoring fuel pressure and adjusting accordingly to maximize fuel economy and performance and reduce emissions. Looking ahead, Volvo says its four-cylinder engines will be able to offer the power of a six-cylinder and eventually, mixed with some sort of electrification, will be able to rival the performance of a V8 and "turn V8s into dinosaurs."

Sweden's Prince Carl Philip to race for Volvo in STCC
Tue, 04 Dec 2012Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte has it good. He is a member of the Swedish Royal Family, he dates a model and he has been voted by Forbes as one of the "20 Hottest Young Royals." If that were not enough, he is a fairly successful racecar driver. The latter has earned him a spot on the Volvo Polestar racing team for the Swedish Touring Car Championship. The prince will be piloting a race-spec S60 in the 2013 STCC campaign.
Starting in 2008, Prince Carl Philip began competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup, where he placed as high as 11th. In 2010, he finished first in the Porsche GT3 Endurance competition, and most recently, he placed fourth in the 2012 Swedish GT GTB.
As his motorsport career up to this point suggests, the prince is quite serious about racing and the STCC is the next step up. According to Prince Carl Philip, "There is no tougher championship in Sweden and at the same time as I have respect for it, it motivates me greatly." Volvo teases mysterious new small crossover
Thu, 16 May 2013The image you see above is just about all we know of the new Volvo crossover that will be revealed at 8:30 pm Central European Time on May 17 (2:30 pm Eastern Standard Time). Volvo released three very short video teasers, all with the tagline "Leave The World Behind," all of which feature a member of the now-defunct band Swedish House Mafia - Axwell sits in a boat in the first, Sebastian Ingrosso walks toward cabin in the second and Steve Angello stares at the sea in a third.
A microsite, www.leavetheworldbehind.com, accompanies the teasers and it's been said that a short film by Lune will feature the band - Swedish Mafia had a hit in 2009 with the song Leave the World Behind. As for the vehicle, theories are that it could be something between the V40 Cross Country and XC60, the new XC90 or something else entirely. We don't have long to wait, and you can watch both teasers below.
