Reviews:

The Knox`s run a real, trustworthy business in my eyes. Regardless of the reviews I came across I went there a year ago and bought an 01` Hyundai Sonata in great condition for it`s 180k mileage. I have now owned this car for a little over a year now and it`s still running strong at 216k. I couldn`t have asked for a better deal, the car was nowhere near what I was looking for, but I`m sure glad I bought it. Since my p... view moreurchase at Knox Auto Sales, the only things I`ve had to replace were the sparks plugs/wires and the valve cover gasket (that comes with high mileage) I took care of it and did the mechanic work myself, with the help of friends. It was a blessing to come across these guys, thank you for giving me such a great car!

Low-priced, high-mileage cars are going to have some issues. You can`t expect them to be perfect. We bought a 2001 Hyundai Elantra from Knox Auto Sales that had higher mileage than we were looking for but was in much better shape than anything else we`d driven in the same price range. Knox`s customer service has been the real reason we`d do business with them again. Really an excellent experience.

Run Far. Run FAST!
I filled out Knox Auto`s trade in form online and was called the next day telling me to bring my car in for them to see and they would work out something with me on a Jeep I was eyeing. So I go to these guys with my low milage well kept Trans Am that has a few minor cosmetic flaws and a check engine light. They seemed very nice at first, and seemed very interested in my car, although offering me $500-$1000 less in tr... view moreade than the other area dealers I had been to that day. They did however have the Jeep I wanted at a nice price so I was fine with the lowball offer. I was even fine with the fact that their Jeep has major suspension issues that are obvious (but they claimed they could not hear at first...lol) and a few other issues that needed addressing. I didnt even TRY to get a better price out of them. So it was late, and they wanted to check the check engine light code to make sure it wasnt something major and asked me to come back the next day and we`d do the deal. So I call them up the next morning with the engine code (and it is a VERY inexpensive and minor issue I gladly wouldve paid for to get it taken care of before trading them the car) and they tell me they just arent interested anymore since they had a chance to think on it, and that all the time I spent there forming a deal with them was a giant waste of time for them and me. (They actually said that). Again... I did not try to lowball them at all, but they found it perfectly ok to not only lowball me (as compared to other area dealerships), but tried to sell me a car with known issues and act like there were none AND then even backed out of a deal with a customer that had played by their rules since the start. Oh and there is no warranty at all on any of their vehichles, but they said if your new cars engine blows tomorrow they can point you to a good mechanic (thats promising). These guys semm nice, but don`t be fooled... There are much better deals down the road.

Stay far away...
Stay AWAY... the KNOX`s are very dishonest, will sell you a car with alot of issues... my first week of purchasing a 2000 ford mustang I needed a new alternator. The convertable leaked water like crazy, needed new brakes, and tires.. they force you to have a past time device on your car which is incredibly inconvienient when you get paid 2x a month which will keep your car from working with out a code they provide fo... view morer you. They will also reposess your car if you are late 1x or if your late to pay your full coverage insurace... these people are very dishonest and will repo your car and put it back on their lot for the next sucker to pay another $3000.00 deposit. I`m out over $3000.00 and only had 1 or 2 payments left they purposely didn`t pick up or will charge you an outrageous fee to pay over the phone... Jeff`s wife cares more about buying dresses for her daughters beauty pagents than running the store... and their son Christian isn`t very honest when you attempt to make arrangements. My advice would be to stay far away... I`m currently in the process of attempting to recoup my losses from the vehicle but I fear that the ""southern good old boy system"" will prevent me from suing them in court.

Good Car but ... :(
Bought the car because I really needed transportation to school. I had heard good things about the place and the owners son seemed nice enough despite all his fast talk. It is my understanding that used car men are supposed to disclose all that is wrong with the car so you are not surprised later on. My car runs well but has a few defects I don`t care for. 1. The front tires are a size bigger than they sho... view moreuld be so when I turn a hard right the tires rub the car and make a very loud screeching sound for all to hear. 2. The car did not come with an emergency/flasher button. I did not notice until I needed it and realized I had nothing. Its a silly over sight on my part but the owners son said nothing to point it out so I now have an additional $150 to pay to add on such a simple feature to a car. 3. The lighting unit in the top center of the car pops out of its socket unexpectedly when I drive. It can be startling. NOT impressed with these Knox people at all. And the price of the car was nothing special, especially with the added on parts and labor for me. Keep looking around and if you set on Knox Auto go over the car inch by inch. They probably won`t tell you what you don`t ask. .

Finally an honest used car salesman!
Looking for the first car for our last (5th) child, Jeff Knox was recommended to us. We were NOT disappointed! We left with a `98 Mustang we felt good about. But when we filled up the gas tank, gas started gushing out! O no! Even though they were then closed on a Saturday afternoon, we called the business back, & were helped by Jeff`s knowledgeable, mature, and courteous son Christian. We drove back to the shop. He e... view morexamined the car and found a bad top gasket in the fill pipe leading into the gas tank. The only reason it had not already been replaced is that they had no occasion to fill it up completely & see that it was leaking. Jeff Knox sent us to a repair shop and PAID FOR the repair of the bad gasket the next week - even though we had already signed a waiver, officially exempting him from a legal responsibility to do so! We were impressed and will be back!

Best cars WONDERFUL SERVICE! Family owned.
If you are looking to get a used car and don`t feel like getting riped off then go see Jeff Knox. I have brought several cars over the pass couple of years and I have never had a bad time with him. I really like the way they get to know you and your needs. I love that they can get you what you are looking for at or close to the price you want to pay. I try to keep my eyes open when I go by the lot and if there is so... view moremething new that I want to see I stop and have a chat with Jeff. I have looked at other car lots new ones and used ones and it seems that everyone else is just out to sell cars. Not Jeff. A good Christian man and a great car salesman. Tell him Jo sent you.
