1920 Ford Model T Touring Car ****NO RESERVE**** I purchased this model T 10 years ago from a friend who had owned it since the 60's. Nice straight , rust free original car. Always maintained but never cosmetically restored. Engine was rebuilt by previous owner. Rear end was rebuilt by me in 2006 with modern outboard roller bearings. This car has been driven on many club tours and has always been very reliable. Good tires. Top was replaced by previous owner also. I replaced the radiator with a new one in 2008. Interesting period accessory oil dipstick so you can check the oil without climbing under the car. This car has been well cared for and maintained but it is not a garage or trailer Queen ! It begs to be driven on tours , family picnics or ice cream outings ! This car could easily be restored , but in my opinion there is something special about an original , unrestored car. Buy it and the choice is yours ! Boyco cans , tool box , luggage rack and NC license plate not included but negotiable separately. Clear NC title. |

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally lands on Google board
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally often referred to the Blue Oval as a technology company when he led the automaker. Now he'll be offering guidance to a different kind of technology firm: Google.
Mulally was appointed to Google's board of directors July 9, and late Tuesday, it was announced that he will serve on the company's audit committee. The veteran executive led Ford from September 2006 until he retired in June, succeeded by Mark Fields.
While Mulally will act as a board member - rather than in a managerial role - his presence adds credibility to Google's recently announced plans to produce an autonomous car. The ambitious program calls for 100 prototypes to begin testing later this summer. Production of the car is rumored to be in collaboration with a Detroit area performance company, Roush.
Ford Fusion demand outstripping supply
Sat, 15 Jun 2013The attractive new 2013 Ford Fusion has done wonders for the brand in the highly competitive midsize sedan segment - the vehicle is up nearly 22 percent compared to last year. But that sales momentum may soon hold steady due to low inventory levels of the new Fusion across the United States.
According to a report in The Detroit News, citing automotive data and Ward's Auto, Ford currently has a 39-day supply of the Fusion. That might sound fine, but a normally healthy average is about a 60-day supply. If Ford were to stop production on the Fusion today, there would only be enough vehicles available to get through another five weeks of sales, according to the News.
Currently, Ford produces the Fusion at its three-shift assembly plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, and will add production at its facility in Flat Rock, MI later this year. A Ford spokesperson told The Detroit News that when Flat Rock production comes online, the automaker will need to rush new stock out to the regions with the most demand for the Fusion. Ford has doubled its coastal retail market share, with huge amounts of growth in areas like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami, the News reports.
