Wow! These guys are great!
After my mechanic and mailman recommended this place, I decided to give it a shot. The work couldn`t have been better and the guys couldn`t have been nicer. Some of the biggest disappointments of my life have been when I`ve got a car repainted. You know, it just looks like a repainted car. These guys did me right for a good price. I would recommend them to anyone!

Excellent work and service

I have an Acura Integra that I am very happy with the car. For last few years it was looking old just because the paint faded because it had seen lots of weathers.
I had talked to few other places and was not sure where to take my car for full body paint. I am glad that I took my car to Econo Paint. They gave honest opinion and good estimate. They told me that it would take 3-4 days and I told them that I don... view more?ˆ™t have alternate car so I may have to rent another car. They finished the paint and made it ready for me in 2 days. It was definitely better then I was expecting. Steve and his staff as very kind and they even stayed back when I called them that I was on my way.
Overall I am very happy with the quality of service and now my car looks just as new.

Great Affordable Paint Job
I just picked up my 02 Acura after a re-paint by Econo. The paint looks good and at a great price. Definitely get a quote from these guys if you are searching for a deal on a paint job.

Great job and price
I took my 97 Honda Civic in for a paint job. It started with the best customer service that I have had in a while. I just hoped there work was as good. And to my satisfaction, the paint job was great. I had a 97 wrangler painted at another discount paint place prior and Econo is hands down better. I would recommend them to everyone.

Econo does good work for a discount auto paint shop
I had my son`s 1995 Acura Integra painted there recently and the results were pretty darn good for $349! One of their competitors (Peach) gave us an estimate of $600. Stephen simply stated, ""don`t worry we`ll take good care of it"". My son`s car was very faded and had scratches everywhere. Econo matched the color perfectly and had the job done in two days. There are always mixed reviews regarding discount auto pai... view morent shops. Here`s a great tip for everyone who wants to try a discount paint shop: Meet with the shop and make your expectations clear. This way, if your expectations are unrealistic, the manager/owner/estimator will let you know that you can`t expect the finished product to look like the paint on a new Corvette. For $349, Econo exceeded my expectations and they were up front about everything. The paint job looks great! Perfect? No. Above average? Absolutely. I got a great deal. Jay

I Got the BEST Truck Paint Job in Raleigh!
It was a pure pleasure dealing with Econo Auto Painting from beginning to end. From the time I stopped by Econo Auto Paint shop on Tuesday to get an estimate on painting my 150 Ford Ranger, to picking it up on Friday, dealing with them was a good experience. First of all, I was impressed by the polite manner and straightforward, honest demeanor of Rich, who wrote my estimate. I went home and read the reviews onlin... view moree here and, except for the one written by the dealer who gets 300-400 vehicles painted here each year, the reviews were pretty scary. But my gut feeling told me to go with polite, honest Rich. I dropped my truck off before they opened Wed. am. At 830a, owner Steve was on the phone to thank me for my business. That just doesn`t happen these days. I told Steve how impressed I was by Rich and he asked whether Rich had hit me up for homemade brownies yet. Steve and I had a great conversation and I could tell he is an ethical, committed businessman. I told him about the bad reviews online here and he was stunned. He has handwritten letters from customers thanking him for the work done on their vehicles. He paints for 250 area car dealers. His crew worked on my truck all day Wednesday, Thursday and detailed it Friday morning, even painting the tires! There isn`t a smidgen of paint on it anywhere there shouldn`t be. It`s clean as a pin. They did a bit of body work for which they charged me no more than I`d pay for dinner at Applebee`s. It`s glossy black and looks like a million dollars. The UPS man just made a delivery to my house and said, ""Hey, I see you got a new truck."" I just smiled and kept my mouth shut. I have to add that I shopped two competitors for estimates before I went to Econo Auto Painting. One competitor gave a similar estimate with no body work or extra sanding included -- and no 1-yr guarantee like I got at Econo. The other big-name shop looked at me -- a 73-year old woman -- and decided I was born yesterday. He quoted THREE TIMES WHAT I PAID AT ECONO and said he`d discount it $200 if I left it then. No thank you, no $1,283.40 paint job for me. No body work included in that quote, either. He didn`t even take time to notice there were a couple of dings and places that needed extra sanding. Both places said I`d have my truck back ""in a week or so."" By the way, I emailed Steve and said Rich deserves a pay raise. And I took those homebaked brownies in when I picked up my truck this morning. Rich had them slathered down in whipped cream and was chowing down when I left. I promise, I`ll be back again and I`ll be sending people I know to Econo Auto Painting when they need reliable, economical, quality work done without paying a fortune. Yes, for sure I definitely got the BEST truck paint job in Raleigh!!!

I get what I pay for!
I paint between 300 and 400 cars and trucks every year with Econo Auto Painting. I am a buy here pay here dealer and I put the 1 year (CHEAP< CHEAP<CHEAP!!!!) paint job on the vehicles I have painted. I get a 2 day (Maximum) turn around on my vehicles. I sometimes pay extra for getting additional sanding done, sometimes I get some bodywork done. I have ALWAYS gotten my monies worth!

I have had vehicles painted... view more elsewhere and I have been more satisfied with Econo than any other shop we have dealt with.

Most people shop around, but it is stricktly price they seek. I look at the work they have done (usually 8-10 vehicles sitting in parking lot that have just been painted. ) I ask what I am getting for the price, and WHEN you do this, you will never be suprised! There are always customers that think they should get a better paint job (They were quoted $3,000 at Honda, and think the $200.00 paint job should be pretty close!) there are always people that have ""Been in the business"" (So why aren`t you fixing and painting your own car???)

What I can offer you is to look and ask lots of questions before you paint your car with anyone!

Oh and I have had a problem or 5 from time to time they do mess up, However they have always been polite and fixed the problems right away. I would not deal with a company with poor customer service, or that did not give me at least what I paid for! I get cars back all the time (from my customers trading them in) that have well over a year after paint was done and they still are presentable

They really suck!
Finally I got my car back. It takes more than one week for only repainting the front and rear bumpers, AND a very lousy work. I even don?ˆ™t think they really know how to paint.

First time when they finished the work, I found many spots on both bumpers. They said they would redo the work and I only needed wait one more day. That?ˆ™s fine. But when I went there next day, they said I still needed to wait two more d... view moreays. That?ˆ™s OK. When I went to their workshop for the third time, disaster happened. First I found they not only painted both bumpers, but also the rear trunk, rear door and even the roof! OK, I understand they need paint rear truck for blending the color, but why the rear door and the roof? They even didn?ˆ™t tell me they would do this! Second, if the paint is good, that?ˆ™s no problem, but the paint job was still lousy, some spots still existed and they overspraied my car! They told me I should go to a wash shop to buff the spots out and remove the overspray. Come on, that?ˆ™s your fault, OK? Third, they messed up the rear logos and many other small places. For painting the rear trunk, they took the logos off, but they did an ugly job when they put them back, very ugly, I still can see the glue they used on the logos?ˆ¦

If you take a look at my car, I swear you never want to go to them for the paint. I have to say, they did a really lousy job. The boss Steve and other staffs there look friendly and make you feel good before the problems come out. When you try to argue with them after that, they are very rude. I don?ˆ™t want to argue with them anymore. So I suggest you stay away from them, this is good for your heath?ˆ¦

lousy paint jobs
I`ve worked in body shops and painted cars myself, some were $2000 jobs so I`m very familiar with the business. I`ve also been in the automotive industry for 30+yrs. I went down to this shop with a friend to pick up his car and was astounded at what I saw. I walked into the shop and looked at some of the cars that were about to be painted, and to my dismay I found out they HAD been painted. The people were rude and m... view moreade it be known they didn`t want me back there. Personally I wouldn`t let them paint my lawn mower. Maaco or Peach I have found out use better quality paint and have run across much better reviews.
