Lacking integrity and professionalism
A truly horrible experience from the get go. I recently purchased what I thought was a perfect (certified pre-owned) 2008 Cayman S ""weekend driver"" with only 5500 miles. Futhermore, I was ok with paying top dollar for this Cayman S due to the fact that it truly looked new. About a month after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that the car had been tracked by its previous owner and had aftermarket parts modif... view moreications done to the vehicle after taking the vehicle to Jim Ellis to get my tires balanced one Saturday afternoon.... Jim Ellis is actually open AFTER 1:00 pm on Saturday. It`s amazing what one can find out by searching online for Porsche Club records and thus track outings, misc information etc. Part of paying a premium for a certified pre-owned Porsche is ""supposed"" to be the rigorous multi-point inspection process as designed by Porsche factory to ensure the highest quality standards, yet, had my car been inspected thoroughly, Hennessy would have discovered the modifications to the oil pan etc. and thus not certified the vehicle in the first place. Now, here`s where the story gets good... the saleswoman named Sally Moore refused to discount the vehicle stating that she would ""throw-in"" the CPO warranty to 100,000 miles which was a $2500 value which was the best she could do. Thinking she was speaking reputably, I agreed to the deal. The ironic thing is that once I signed my contract and got the vehicle home, I read on Porsche`s website that once any pre-owned Porsche goes through the certification process, it qualifies for an automatic warranty for a total of 100,000 miles or six years (from date of original purchase) whichever comes first. So, I was clearly lied to. Knowing that I had been taken for a ride, I chalked my experience up as ""typical"" for a car salesperson at a dealership yet I still felt like I shoud`ve been treated with more integrity coming from a Hennessy dealership.

Now, lets talk about their service department... three months go by from initial purchase and I observe a very loud rattle coming from my headliner along with a failed tire pressure display so I reluctantly scheduled an appointment with Zak Funderburg simply because I live just a few exits from the dealership in Alpharetta. Upon arriving, I clearly restated my two warranty issues, got confirmation form the service writer that he knew what the problem was with the headliner (glue separating) and then found myself wisked away in a Toyota minivan? Yes, that`s correct. A toyota rental vehicle from Hertz as a warranty loaner. At this point I felt as though this was the kind of vehicle people get when they don`t purchase a brand new Porsche but I let it go. Two days goes by and I finally get a call (message) from Zak stating that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Because Zak didn`t reference anything out of the norm, I concluded that BOTH warranty concerns had been addressed. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I read my paperwork which stated that they only addressed one of my concerns due to not being able to duplicate the rattle from the headliner.. and yet they had driven my vehicle over 40 miles, used a 1/4 tank of fuel, got my car very dirty and didn`t even bother to provide a courtesy wash or vacuum. Really?
