2001 Mazda Tribute finished in Brilliant Silver with a light gray cloth interior. This Mazda is one of the cleanest used cars that I have seen in a long time! The paint is nice, with no noticeable dings or dents, and it appears to be all original. The seats and carpet are equally clean, with no stains or tears. The vehicle is equipped with a four cylinder engine, and a 5speed manual transmission, which makes for a very peppy, yet economical combination! The tires have lots of tread, the A/C is ice cold, and everything operates as it should! Just by looking at this Tribute, you can tell that it has been very well taken care of, with the only down side being, a lot of highway miles. The driver's window is not currently working, but you can hear the motor running, which would indicate the need for a new window regulator. (a fairly inexpensive repair) The shifter also has some play in it, but operates properly, and there is no problem finding any of the gears. Mazda builds 4-millionth Mazda3
Tue, 25 Feb 2014To say that the Mazda3 is a vital product for Mazda would be one heck of an understatement. In fact, the model line accounts for about 30 percent of the manufacturer's sales. Fortunately for Mazda, they're selling well.
These days, the Japanese automaker is building the Mazda3 (known domestically as the Axela) in Japan, China, Thailand and, as of last month, in Mexico. The company's expanded global production capacity has helped Mazda reach four million units of the Mazda3 sold around the world since the first model was introduced over ten and a half years ago.
Over the course of that decade since its introduction in June 2003, Mazda has gone through three generations of Mazda3, the newest model benefiting from the company's Skyactiv technology and even encompassing a hybrid model in the Japanese Domestic Market.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata won't get power folding hardtop
Thu, 11 Sep 2014Following the reveal of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, more and more details (and rumors - oh, the rumors) are coming out regarding exactly what's in store when the car finally goes on sale. Our own Chris Paukert had plenty to say about the exterior and interior, and we've now seen the first photo of the engine. But a new report from Automobile sheds even more light on the 2016 Miata - specifically, that the power folding hardtop model won't be available, at least initially.
Automobile reports that the 2016 MX-5 will only be offered with a cloth top, and an insider confirmed that the mechanism is light and accessible enough that it can be raised and lowered with one hand from inside the car. Mazda officials would not comment on the availability of a hardtop in the coming years.
That said, a hardtop Miata isn't out of the question. There will likely be some sort of fixed roof available - even as a one-piece, lift-off accessory - if only for club racing. Also, remember that the current NC Miata's hardtop is the only one on the market that doesn't take up any additional trunk space, so it's an attractive proposition for buyers. Currently, the power hardtop is only offered on the Club and Grand Touring MX-5 Miata trims.
Red Bull RX-7 goes drift crazy on New Zealand's Crown Range
Tue, 07 May 2013For the first time ever, the Crown Range, New Zealand's highest paved road, was closed off for the drifting pleasure of one man. That man is Mad Mike Whiddett, and the machine he's piloting is a heavily modified Mazda RX-7 sponsored by the energy-rich crew from Red Bull and powered by a 750-horsepower quad-rotor engine. There will be smoke. Lots and lots of smoke.
Mad Mike hits speeds in excess of 140 miles per hour over the course of the road's six and a half miles, which boasts 47 individual corners at over 3,500 feet of elevation.
