I now own two Honda Insights. One must sell. This one has a manual transmission, with a new factory OEM battery installed by Buerkle Honda in Minnesota. The ONLY reason this car is up for sale is that my wife decided, after I bought this, that she doesn't like driving a stick. She wants to keep our other Insight with an automatic/CVT transmission. I am now going to see which of the two cars sell first. If this one sells before the CVT Insight sells, we'll keep the CVT. If the CVT sells before this one, I am going to pull this car off the market. I bought it because it is exceptional in almost every way, one might say near mint because there is with very little, if anything that anyone will find wrong or lacking with this car. No used car is perfect. Mechanically, this is as close to new as a used car with this kind of mileage can be. If you want to pick apart the car, you will not likely notice very minor and difficult to notice cosmetic things that in my estimation, as the one who bought the car.

Fred Savage wants to narrate your home videos to practice for Honda gig
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Honda is getting ready to launch a new advertising campaign with Fred Savage of The Wonder Years (and The Princess Bride) fame, and in order to get his voice in game shape, Savage is taking to social media to get prepared. More specifically, he's apparently interested in adding some voiceover to fun videos provided by fans of the Honda brand, and all you have to do to be considered is to get his attention on Twitter using the hashtag #HondaPromo.
We have no idea how Savage or the Honda PR team plans to choose which videos will be turned into narrated works of art, but we do think it's a pretty fun idea. So, if you happen to have a video that could use some narration, and you think Savage would provide the perfect pitch, hit him up. Oh, be sure to read the terms and conditions first.
Google poised to release Apple CarPlay rival this month

They're New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, Real Madrid and Barcelona, or whatever sports-based rivalry you want to cook up. Bottom line, if one company expands into a segment, it's only a matter of time before the other follows suit. And now, that rivalry is about to carry over to your car's dashboard.
Unnamed sources are reporting to Automotive News that Google will unveil its very own challenger to Apple's new CarPlay in-car operating system later this month at the Mountain View, CA company's annual developer conference. The system, allegedly called Google Auto Link, will be the first product to come from the Open Automotive Alliance, a partnership between Google, General Motors, Hyundai, Audi, Honda and hardware manufacturer NVIDIA.
The official announcement is expected to be made on either June 25 or 26, at the Google I/O conference in San Francisco. Expect to hear a lot more about Google Auto Link then.
Acura NSX production car headed for Detroit debut?
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Auto Express is reporting that Honda is set to unveil the production version of its upcoming Acura NSX at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The news comes courtesy of an unnamed "top exec" for Honda Brazil speaking at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. The concept version of the Japanese supercar is currently on display there. Interestingly enough, the same unnamed source claims the production iteration will remain aesthetically identical to the show car. You won't hear any qualms from us on that front.
Of course, the timing of the production debut is a little confusing. For starters, when Acura unveiled the concept last year, the company told the world it would be at least three years before production began. That would give the street-worthy model a 2014 or 2015 designation, the latter being cited more often in media accounts. Thus, we'll keep an eye out for the hybrid supercar in Motown, but we're going to stop short of holding our breath... it might be a while.
