Year:1953 Mileage:50614
Location:

Sylvania, Ohio, United States

True Barn Find, or should I say, outside the barn :)!  This truck was located parked outside a barn in Michigan.  I purchased the truck to resell as I do not have the facility or time to rebuild it.  This is a 1953 F-250 Conventional with the 239 CID V8 FLATHEAD!!!  I ran a decoder check on the vin (see pic) and found it was 14869 in the Production Sequence, assembly plant of Buffalo, NY.  This truck has a good frame, the engine and transmission as well as drive train appear to be intact.  The front windshield has a small break that appears to have been made, like from a stone hitting it.  The rear glass has not breaks or cracks.  Side windows are gone and wing windows are broken.  A lot of rusted body parts as you can see in the pics.  Front grill has a rusted hole on the drivers side but still is usable with a little work.  Bottom of the doors are rusted and gone.  Bed was a wood bed and is of course gone as well.  Steering Wheel, odometer and gauge area not bad, as well as various interior knobs and handles.  You can see the vin plate is still attached to the glove compartment door.  Many usable parts, mainly the frame, engine, trans, and drive train and don't forget the wheels.  Would be a nice restore from the frame up.

I CAN MANUALLY TURN THE ENGINE OVER BY HAND ROTATING THE FAN BLADE, SO THE ENGINE IS NOT SEIZED UP.

ALTHOUGH THE SPECIFICS OF THIS LISTING SHOW A SALVAGE REBUILDABLE TITLE (had to put something our it would not take the listing) I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE FOR THIS TRUCK...I DO HAVE A BILL OF SALE AND I WILL PROVIDE A BILL OF SALE TO THE WINNING BIDDER!

I can deliver the truck and will give you a quote for delivery US ONLY.  Simply shoot me an email with your address or city and I will respond with the delivery quote.

NO RESERVE!!!

Good Luck Bidding!

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid

Thu, 02 May 2013

No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.

2015 Ford Mustang spied on video for the first time

Thu, 20 Jun 2013

Not many cars will continue to hold our rapt attention quite like the upcoming redesigned 2015 Ford Mustang, codenamed S550 internally. Earlier this month, we brought you the first spy photos of a next-gen Mustang prototype out testing, and even though expertly placed cladding concealed the pony car's new shape, we could tell that underneath was hiding an altogether new form inspired by the Evos Concept from 2011.
Today we give you some video of what looks to be the same Mustang prototype, which you can watch below, and while the budding director behind the camera wasn't able to capture much in the way of the engine's audio signature, we can see the car in motion for the first time and compare its relative size and shape to the S197 Mustang GT that's on its tail.

Ford builds Lightweight Concept with Fusion shell [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

It's a fairly well known fact that removing weight from a car is essentially a panacea for many of the modern automobiles problems. Does it handle like crap? Remove weight. Underpowered? Don't add power; trim the fat. Need to improve fuel economy? It's diet time.
Actually executing a major weight reduction program, though, much like with human beings, is no easy task. Unlike you or I, where motivation is the issue, the prohibitive measure in trimming a car's waistline is money. Lightweight materials are expensive, with carbon fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic still primarily in the domain of higher end vehicles. Even aluminum construction, pioneered on a mass-produced level by Audi and Jaguar, is only now starting to make its way into the mainstream, thanks to the upcoming Ford F-150.
With this concept, though, Ford is attempting to show that a mass-produced, lightweight vehicle isn't too far off. This is the Lightweight Concept, and while it may look like a Fusion, it weighs as much as a Fiesta. For reference, the lightest Fusion available to the public is the 3,323-pound, 2.5-liter model with a manual transmission. A manually equipped, 1.6-liter Fiesta, meanwhile, is just 2,537 pounds.
