Thank you for Looking at my 1931 Ford Victoria Street Rod.  This car was professionally built by Special Interest Rides of New Jersey 20 years ago.  This car has been proven to be a very reliable Street Rod and has been on many long distance trips and shows along the East Coast.  This being said, there are a few chips or beauty marks on the fenders.  They have been touched up and the car shows very well.  This Street Rod features a 3 inch chop on an original all steel Henry Ford body with fiberglass front fenders and steel rear fenders, DuPont tantalizing turquoise covers the exterior with some beautiful old school pin striping and a black Mercedes fabric top.  The interior is grey tweed with pleather inserts on Subaru bucket seats, Unique 1946 Ford shortened dash topped off with Classic Instruments gauges, heat and AC, AM FM CD radio, power windows, no power steering or power brakes and tilt GM column.  The motor is a SBC 350 with stainless exhaust backed by a TH 400 trans, Gennie shifter and a shortened Ford 9 inch rear with 3:25 gearing, Custom built frame built by Super Rod Shop with an independent front suspension and Ride Tech rear coilovers, front disc brakes with rear drums help stop the Budnik rims.   18 gallon gas tank gives you plenty of distance to go to the shows.  To the successful bidder, all paperwork and pictures of the build will be provided.

Please ask any needed questions before bidding as I want the future buyer to be as happy with this Street Rod as I have been for the past 7 years.  There is no warranty expressed or implied.

Ford Explorer gets appearance pack for 2015

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Remember when Ford launched the totally new Explorer in late 2010, and people were skeptical about how the now-crossover would fare, after ditching its traditional SUV roots? Well, we're several years in, and I think we can assuredly say that Ford made the right decision. Sales are better than ever (in fact, May was the current Explorer's best month yet), and the crossover is finding its way into the hands of a whole host of new Ford buyers.
A wholly refreshed Explorer is still forthcoming, but to keep its strong-selling crossover fresh, Ford is offering a host of improvements for the 2015 model year, including the attractive appearance package available on the XLT trim level, pictured above. Outside, the pack gets you goodies like 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, black bodyside cladding and roof rack rails. Contrasting Magnetic Metallic accents are found on the grille, mirror caps and liftgate appliqué, and there's an "Explorer" hood badge and body-colored door handles. Inside, there are new Miko suede inserts in the seats, and the package includes the automaker's Sync connectivity with MyFord Touch infotainment.
Elsewhere in the Explorer range, the Class III trailer tow pack is now standard on the Sport, base models get new 18-inch aluminum wheels, and there are three new colors on offer: Bronze Fire Metallic and Magnetic Metallic.

FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.

Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
