PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY: I will try to explain this the best I can. In 1979 the vehicle with vin#2A48Q189576 was rear ended and totaled out by the insurance company. The previous owner found another 1972 Ranchero with vin#2A47F288864, this is the body that is housing every item from the original 1972 Ranchero including the rare q-code vin number dash board and has a clear Florida title for vin#2A48Q189576 also have the clear title to 2A47F288864. This Ranchero has a 351 Cleveland Cobra Jet roller motor that was professionally rebuilt and 4 speed trans. a very Fast Car . The dash board with a full instrument cluster is in excellent shape no cracks and all instruments work. The door panels are in excellent shape. The seats are in good shape, drivers seat does have 2 rips. As far as mechanicals this car runs and can be driven now only thing that may need replaced is the throw out bearing on the clutch which is an easy fix. The frame and floors are in good shape but the body has rust in places. Car has 9 inch ford rear end not sure what the gears are. Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell revisit bitter F1 rivalry in... Ford Fusion campaign?
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Formula One World Champions Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell haven't been on good terms since the 1986 season, when Piquet joined Mansell at the Williams team and Piquet spent the year privately fuming about not being granted the status of number one driver. Things only got worse from there - even though Piquet won the title the following year with Williams, still partnered with Mansell, the fuming was a lot less private.
They're back together after a 25-year silence, in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil to drive the new Ford Fusion. Called "Fusion Grand Prix," both men get the new Ford sedan, prepped to their liking - but still street legal, we assume - for a race to decide... well, who is faster behind the wheel of a Fusion.
There will be four episodes, with the first two having already aired. The third episode comes on January 29 and the race happens February 5. You'll find two video episodes and a press release below, but note - because it's a campaign for Ford Brazil, Piquet's dialogue in the vids isn't translated, so hit the Closed Captioning button to hear his side of the smack talking.
