RESTORATION!!
1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 ! This car underwent a "NO EXPENSE" spared 4 year restoration in early 2000. I
All work was professionally done and it shows!! The car was finished then lived a pampered life being stored in
climate controlled garage and only driven to local shows and parades.
The car started life in California. The A Engine Code 289 is original numbers matching and has been professionally
rebuilt. The S Trans Code 4 Speed Manual is original to the car. The car runs and drives excellent. Its a fast car
that's a blast to drive. All the suspension and exhaust was replaced when the car was restored.
Trim Tag # 63A Y 22 09L 71 1 S. This car is the desirable 63A Fastback model. The body was VERY clean before the
restoration and it shows with how well this car looks today. The underside is as clean as the top side. The car was
professionally painted Bullitt Green. The paint job is OUTSTANDING!! All the chrome is beautiful. The body fit is
exceptional on this Mustang.
The interior was done with no expense spared. The dash and headliner are perfect. The seats are in exceptional condition. The carpets are super clean. A very comfortable fun car to drive!!
Under the hood of this Mustang is fully detailed and looks beautiful. The car sits on Bullitt correct Torque Thrust
Rims with like new Tires. Every attention to detail was made to make this car look like the Bullitt Mustang. I
can't say enough about how clean and sharp this Mustang looks.
Floor pans and trunk pan are original,(California Car). All sheet metal is original also.

National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.
First Ford Mustang prototype shots caught by legendary spy shooter Jim Dunne
Fri, 12 Apr 2013You know how people refer to someone as having "been around the block" to mean they're very experienced? Well, when it comes to automotive spy photography, Jim Dunne actually laid down the concrete slabs of the block's sidewalk. The unforgettable Dunne more or less invented the car spy game - a fact he cemented by writing book called Car Spy - and has been delivering spy shots and reporting on the industry for some 45 years now. (He also once employed this writer as his impromptu personal chauffer on a Volkswagen trip in Germany, while he slept, but that's a story for a different time.)
In any event, Dunne must be on a mission to prove that "elder statesman" doesn't also mean "washed up" as it is his shots of the upcoming new 2014 Ford Mustang that we've been handed by our friends at KGP Photography.
Mr. Dunne has likely spent the last few years obtaining powerful telescopic lenses, as the Ford in question has clearly been photographed from some distance. Nevertheless, what you see here is visual evidence that the sixth-generation Mustang has moved beyond the mule stage, and is now testing in proper prototype form. Sources indicate that there are production-spec body panels under that baggy canvass dress; but the slightly less bulky silhouette of the new car can be just made out. While the car's bumpers have been removed to obfuscate things, we can tell by way of the camo's apertures that the car's taillights have moved upwards and towards the lip of the tail. A fender vent appears to be visible, too, just behind the front wheel.
Volkswagen could outsell GM in China for the first time in nine years
Fri, 27 Dec 2013As of the end of November, Volkswagen had sold 70,000 more cars than General Motors in China in 2013, making it appear inevitable that VW will outsell GM there. The feat would return the German brand to the top of chart in China for the first time in nine years, but even the second-place getter won't be complaining too loudly: both automakers sold more than three million vehicles in a market pegged to hit 16 million sales this year.
Volkswagen said it could have sold more cars if it had had more production capacity in China. The arrival of a new-to-China Audi A4, a China-built A3 sedan, the VW Bora and Skoda Octavia, as well as an $18.2-billion-euro investment in the country to construct new factories, means VW should see its numbers grow in 2014. GM's lineup is expanding next year, too, adding four Chevrolet nameplates and two vehicles to its Baojun brand as it tries to get to five million in sales by 2015.
Among other automakers, Ford benefited from good product and woes for Japanese automakers over a territorial dispute with China, outselling Toyota by almost 32,000 units through the end of November. The Ford Focus is China's best-selling vehicle so far this year.
