This is the nicest riding driving truck I have driven in a long time. The time to move on to the next project has caught my eye. This came out of a private collection and has always been taken care of. Wine country truck no salt roads and less than 20K Miles on rebuild Paint is strong and very bright.
The tires are brand new, Brakes and entire truck is running and driving exceptional.
All the electrics work, indicators, headlights, brake lights, high beams, low beams, gauges all work gas gauge is dead nuts on, dash lights cabin lights........ No issues TURN KEY CONDITION, and it would drive anywhere. The 290 is very strong, it has no issues. The stock radio does not work but it is the factory motorola transistor. It has the stock floor mat that is in really great shape. The truck came from Nor Cal and is very dry. The under carriage has a rusty discoloration but no rust or cancer anywhere. the floors and bed are very clean and solid. I was going to have it under coated and Por-15 at a local shop and they were going to pull the bed off and do it frame and bed for 1300.00. I can pass along the information to the winning bidder. This is a great truck to take out to Home Depot or Lowes on a weekend, Grocery getter , to a quite date some where special. This truck Presents VERY WELL AND STRONG..... Next Ford F-150 delayed for aluminum body panel issues?
Wed, 11 Dec 2013The timetable for next-generation Ford F-150 may be in trouble if a report from The Truth About Cars is true. The next F-150 is slated to make extensive use of weight-saving aluminum in its body, but the aluminum alloy provided by suppliers hasn't met Ford's requirements in the earliest phases of pre-production, according to the report.
The F-150 represents a huge portion of Ford's profits and is the best-selling truck in the US, even in the face of increased pressure from cross-town rivals General Motors and Ram. While the current truck is treading water against its competition, we'd be lying if we said the F-150 weren't growing quite long in the tooth.
If production of the next-generation of the Ford cash cow, said to be based on the Atlas Concept from the 2013 Detroit Auto Show (pictured above), is delayed, it could be bad for Ford. Production at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant is already set to be delayed six to ten weeks, missing an internal on-sale deadline of Memorial Day.

Sat, 14 Jun 2014Think of mid-engined supercars and your mind is bound to gravitate towards Europe, but the United States has been known to make a handful from time to time - exceptional vehicles from the likes of Vector, SSC, Mosler, Hennessey, and Saleen. But long before any of those came around, Ford famously became obsessed with beating Ferrari at its own game, leading to the development of the iconic GT40.
The story is well known, sending Ford to the checkered flag at Le Mans four times in a row in the late 1960s. Ford and Shelby also built over 100 for public consumption, but just four of them were roadsters. Of those only one remains in original condition, and now that exceedingly rare example going up for auction.
Consigned to RM Auctions for its mid-August sale during Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, California, this 1965 model is the first GT40 Roadster built. It was used as a development and demonstration vehicle for Ford and Shelby. Carroll Shelby himself drove Henry Ford II in this very car during one of many test and demo events, this time held for Ford's board of directors in Los Angeles.
