1999 Ford Contour Svt Sedan 4-door 2.5l (va Car - Adult Owned) on 2040-cars
Somerset, Massachusetts, United States
Selling my 1999 Ford Contour SVT with a clear MA title and current state inspection. (Adult owned) Carfax maintanance records show car spent most of its life in VA and was serviced regularly @ Ford dealerships. Bought car last year from Audia Motors, a Chevy dealership, in NY as a trade in from one of their customers. Drove car back to MA and replaced a few items as it was garaged over the winter. (Battery new & tires look new from when i bought car). Replaced valve cover gasket - leaking (and manifold gasket, plugs, and belt while in the process). Installed 4 new struts from British America Transfer (BAT struts) - Used the SVT springs as to keep stock ride height. Installed L/R front control arms with new bushings and ball joints and 2 new tie rod ends also. Car alignment done and car sits nice as seen in pics. Replace leather on shift knob. Car runs and drives great. Brakes are fine w/ pads thick. Shifts smoothly in all gears. All lights, cruise control and power seat also work. A few small dents and back bumper paint scatched somewhat (see pics) Dashboard lifting a little with defroster plastic cracked. Front seat drivers seat looks to have been repaired and has a darker tint than passenger seat. Looks fine and feels comfortable to me . Car looks great and other than the few things i listed above doesn't really need anything. Just get in and drive.

What an Atlas-based Ford F-150 might look like
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Just ahead of January's Detroit Auto Show, surprising rumors pegged Ford as revealing some sort of F-150 concept, perhaps as a hurried effort to deflate some of the buzz building around General Motors' new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, which were also making their auto show debut. Those rumblings turned out to be true, as Ford rolled into the Motor City with its Atlas concept (inset, right), touting the truck's bold styling as a precursor to the next-generation F-Series.
The show truck featured all kinds of clever details, including active wheel shutters and a front air dam that raised and lowered to improve aerodynamics while preserving off-road ability. It also had a genuinely snarly face. And it's that pugnacious snout that may well be on its way to production. The good folks at TopSpeed have worked up the plausible-looking artist's rendering above by cross-referencing the Atlas concept with what little has been revealed from recent spy shots. The look is toned-down pretty dramatically from the concept truck, but its Atlas roots are clear, with a massive three-bar grille and bracket-shaped headlamps hiding a next-generation EcoBoost engine. In the rendering, the show truck's deeply contoured hood and roofline have been ditched and larger, more traditional side mirrors have been fitted - all likely concessions in the move to production sheetmetal.
While Ford has yet to officially announce when it will unveil the 2015 F-150, all signs point to next year's Detroit Auto Show - one year after the Atlas shrugged off GM's new pickups.
2015 Ford Mustang GT Line-Lock Burnout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014In this brief Short Cut, Autoblog's Steven Ewing demonstrates Line-Lock on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Accessed through an on-screen performance menu, the feature temporarily locks the front brakes to help you heat up the rear tires for better traction, as you would for drag racing. The result? A 15-second smokescreen.
How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be
Fri, 20 Sep 2013Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
