I bought this 2007 Chevy Impala LT with 3.5 liter flex-fuel V6 as a GM-Certified used car in October 2009 from Grossman Chevy in Connecticut. It had 58,239 miles at that time. In early 2010 I moved to Florida and brought the car with me and registered it in FL in June of 2010. While here in FL, I used it to commute from one end of Palm Beach County to the other, 97 miles round trip each day. As of today (9/21) car has 136,127 miles on it. I haven't done that commute in a while, so the mileage doesn't get racked up quite as quickly. But I do drive it around town so the mileage will change slightly as this listing progresses.

It's dark blue with dark grey cloth interior.

I've maintained the car regularly since I've owned it and dealt with all the common repair and maintenance issues that come up on these. Specifically, the steering rack and tie rods were replaced at 100k miles or so and the HVAC recirculate actuator (the one that clicks loudly when it fails) was replaced last summer.  The tires were replaced at about 100k miles, as were the brakes on all four corners.  Plugs were replaced around the same time. Other fluids, belts and filters changed regularly including transmission, oil and interior/cabin air filters. Most recent transmission filter and fluid change was at 124k miles when I also replaced the belts most recently.

Car has not had any bodywork while I've had it, never been hit as far as I've ever been able to see. Nothing shows on the original (2009) CarFax either from the prior owner. Interior is in great shape, never smoked in, no tears, everything works exactly as it should. I had the tint applied to the windows when I lived in CT and it's in great shape. No peeling, lifting or anything like that. Body has a few scratches from parking lot nuisances and are shown in the pictures. The front bumper has chips in it appropriate to the highway mileage on the car. There is a dimple in the chrome on the grille from a piece of rubber that hit the front on the highway one day and there are a couple scuffs in the left rear door body side molding. The pictures show what I am describing here.  I removed all the chrome Impala and GM logos from the car because I thought they simply looked to big and gaudy. Makes the car look cleaner in my mind.

The SiriusXM mount and antenna can stay with the car if you want it, but the SiriusXM radio itself will not as I use it in another vehicle that I drive. Same goes for the SunPass and EZPass transponders. I need those too... I have both remotes, 3 keys and the owners and service manuals that came with the car.

I'd not hesitate to drive any distance with this car, it's been a great, reliable vehicle for me since I bought it. I have other cars I want to use more so it's time to move this one along. Lots of miles and use left in this one for whomever gets it.

$500 deposit via PayPal required within 24 hours of winning the auction, balance to be paid in cash (US currency) only. No checks, no wire transfers, no bank checks. Clear and clean Florida title in hand. If you want to fly in to pick up the car, I can pick you up from Palm Beach International airport (PBI). Bring a plate and off you go! Deposit must be paid per auction terms. I will work with you to coordinate pickup of car, but I don't want to keep it here once it's been sold for more than 10 days. Car also is advertised locally (at a higher price) so listing will end early if it sells that way. Good luck!

Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
