Up for auction is a nice 2006 Cadillac DTS Limousine. This vehicle was built by Royale Limousine. The DTS is currently in our limousine fleet and is still being used so mileage may change! We are selling off a few limousines to make room for new limousines we ordered that will be here soon. This vehicle is in good running shape, had passed DOT inspection, has recently replaced tires, complete new front suspension (commercial grade including new springs), alignment, etc. The paint was redone this year, and the interior is in good shape. This vehicle is ready to be put in service for you immediately.
The vehicle is located in Kansas City, Missouri. We are only selling to make room for new vehicles, and we have listed the reserve at a modest price so someone will get good deal on this vehicle. Others on ebay look good but then you have to turn around and spend thousands on getting the vehicle up to standards it should be. This is not the case with this vehicle. As always, we want the winning bidder to be happy with the vehicle, so we encourage everyone bidding to come look at the vehicle in person prior to bidding. Cadillac issues stop-sale on recalled CTS, SRX
Mon, 21 Jul 2014General Motors has issued a stop-sale order on the Cadillac CTS and SRX, both of which were recalled late last month. Why the stop-sale after all this time? Well, um, GM apparently doesn't know how to fix them.
The stop-sale covers all used Cadillac CTS sedans, coupes and wagons from model years 2003 to 2013, as well as new 2014 coupes and wagons. The SRX crossover stop-sale, meanwhile, only covers used vehicles from model years 2004 to 2006.
Automotive News reached out to GM spokesperson Alan Adler, who told the news pub that the company's engineers were "looking at one common solution" for the affected vehicles, although "they don't have it yet."
GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
Cadillac to launch Super Cruise semi-autonomous technology in two years [w/video]
Sun, 07 Sep 2014We all know that self-driving cars are coming. It's not so much a question of If so much as When. And when it comes to General Motors products, we now have something of a date to work with, as Cadillac has announced plans to roll out what it is calling Super Cruise technology in an unnamed new model within the next two years. As you would expect, this new tech can speed the car up, slow it down and keep it in its intended lane, but GM isn't expected to release a fully self-driving car, saying that it will still require "an attentive driver."
We're not quite sure what new model Cadillac will use to launch this new technology, but our best guess would be its upcoming LTS sedan. Other possibilities may include a new crossover - we've heard rumors of CUVS coming from Caddy both above and below the current SRX - or entry-level sedan, but those seem less likely than a high-dollar flagship like the LTS.
The next techy bit of kit currently being shown off by Cadillac engineers includes vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, technology which would seemingly allow cars to travel in close proximity to one another, with less danger of collisions. According to our friends at Engadget, GM is working with the University of Michigan to outfit some 120 miles of roads in and around Detroit, MI, with the requisite sensors to make all this technology possible.
