1987 Buick Grand National We2 on 2040-cars
Oakfield, New York, United States
Send me an email at: mariettampprinzivalli@sunderlandfans.com .
Let me have the pleasure of saying that this car has 100% factory original paint, no touch ups, no repaint, no repairs. A TRUE #1 condition survivor!
The fastest production car made in America in 1987. Even faster than GM's own Corvette.
Never been smoked in. (Unused cigarette lighter) NO rain, NO snow, NO sun, NO fun, well you get the point.
All original GM car with MOBIL 1 FULL synthetic 5W-30 oil and ZDD plus additive (zinc) to prolong engine life even longer; also with an AC Delco oil filter recently changed.
Stabil 360 additive in fuel tank to preserve the Sunoco 93 super unleaded for up to a YEAR. These fluids are fresh and do not need to be changed until next year! All fluids are clear, note the synthetic oil is a hint darker than conventional oil.
5 miles put on it since. Just get in it and drive or just stare at it in the garage. It even still has the spongy wastegate solenoid filter.
Brand New (700 CCA) AC Delco 'gold' battery.
Standard yellow coolant fresh and ready to cool.
Immaculate undercarriage with ALL ORIGINAL EXHAUST IN TACT! Once this is removed it cannot be put back together unless you remove the shell of the car from the frame, so it is unmolested. It was applied this way at the factory (Frame, exhaust, shell) and welded by robots.

First 2013 Buick Encore TV ad features... dinosaurs
Thu, 14 Mar 2013The whole "SUVs as dinosaurs" trope has become something of a threadbare cliché among auto writers, but that doesn't mean the wider world of consumers has caught on to the Jurassic nature of our line of thinking. That's what General Motors appears to be betting on, at least. Just check out Buick's first television spot for its 2013 Encore, the tiny crossover that is pushing the Tri-Shield into territories unknown while looking to outrun the brand's reputation as a refuge for elderly clientele.
Set to air this weekend on ESPN during the NCAA college basketball tournament, the ad plays up the Encore's maneuverability and surprising interior space by setting the baby Buick amongst a herd of lumbering CG dinosaurs created by Tippett Studio, the folks behind Hollywood blockbusters like Jurassic Park, Ted, and the Twilight series of films.
We can't help but snigger a little - while the Encore is indeed surprisingly roomy, nimble, and composed, our first drive found it to be glacially slow, too... not unlike a certain prehistoric race of animals. Check out the commercial below and judge for yourself.
Buick Envision crossover to premiere in China
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Buick currently offers two crossovers: the compact Encore and the extra-large Enclave, leaving plenty of room to slot a mid-size crossover in between. And that's just what Buick is planning on doing. In China, anyway.
Previewed in the teaser above, Buick's upcoming new crossover is cloaked and nestled in between its aforementioned stablemates-to-be. Set to be unveiled in China sometime later this year, the model has been confirmed to wear the name Envision - at least in that market. That's the name which the concept version wore three years ago, but we're still waiting on word over whether that name will carry over to the US version or whether we should expect something different like Anthem. But we have to admit that Envision fits better in the brand's crossover naming scheme.
Shanghai GM isn't saying much about the Envision in the press release below, aside from it having "dynamic and assertive styling" backed by all-wheel drive and stop/start ignition. The last time Buick offered a mid-size crossover in North America was with the Pontiac Aztek-based Rendezvous that was discontinued seven years ago.
2013 Buick Verano Turbo vs. 2013 Acura ILX 2.4
Tue, 12 Mar 2013Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.
