Fully restored, I mean she is as near to new as can happen. This includes rebuilt 1776 cc dual carbed engine, new glass pack dual exhaust (not in picture it is so new) new top, windows, mats, carpet, speedo, tires, suspension, it just goes on and on. Oh yeah, paint too.
Those are upsized two piece aluminum racing wheels.
The horn is an old style "Ahooga" that gets them out of your way fast.
The 250 miles is all she has on her since I finished the job. That's it. So she's as NEW.
The convertible top has a new stretcher bar installed that I had missed, so the top is now as tight as a marine corps recruit's bunk bed.
There is well over $20K in the car and with a few minor touches she would bring $27500 or more at a formal vintage car auction. Something like Barrett Jackson. Can you dream that big? If so, this is your car. Make $10K really fast if you handle it correctly.

VW redoes A-ha's 'Take On Me' music video
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Volkswagen has been responsible for its fair share of witty, clever commercials. "Tiny Vader" might be the most popular, but somehow, we think this newest spot will find a big audience. VW delivers not so much a cover, but a reimagining, of 1980s Norwegian pop band A-ha's famous music video for "Take On Me."
The original opens with an animated motorcycle race, which is revealed to be part of a comic book. VW's version replaces the motorcycle with a Passat, which strikes us as an oddly sober choice when there are cars like the GTI and Beetle in VW's portfolio. But never mind that - take a look down below for the entire 46-second spot. For reference, we've also included the original music video. And if you aren't a fan of the musical stylings of A-ha, just think, VW's choice of 1980s music could have been much worse.

Volkswagen says goodbye to Eos, Routan in 2015 updates
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Usually automakers announce changes to their lineup individually on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis, but sometimes it all comes at once - especially when the changes are ones we either expected or might not otherwise notice. That's the path Volkswagen has gone with changes to its US lineup for 2015.
The biggest change is what we already knew: that the new Golf arrives for the 2015 model year, bringing with it the new GTI, Golf R, e-Golf and Golf SportWagen (to replace the previous Jetta wagon). But there are some new details as well.
For starters, Volkswagen has finally confirmed that both the Eos and the Routan - both long rumored to be on their way out - will be exiting this year. The Eos hardtop convertible, pictured above, will linger for one last year, its Sport trim replaced by a new Final Edition with 18-inch wheels, two-tone leather interior and enhanced equipment.
