Great rust free Body with a perfect nose never hit has been sitting in a garage here in L.A. Since 2005. Lots of work just done on this Ghia Brakes New Master and rubber lines, Brakes are working great all flush out also. Solex 34 Carb Has been Rebuilt Fuel system drained tanks is now very clean with no rust inside New Air Cleaner boot Motor has a OEM Parts Front glass and rear glass have new seals rear window has a defroster Tires are in good condition Runs and drives good shifts through all gears fun to drive. Does need the turn lights fixed and the door handle on drivers side is broken This Ghia has a Salvage title Due to theft we have looked over the car and it shows no accident damage Previous owner said it was stolen in 80s and interior taken out thats why it shows rebuilt title. Touring the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg

Ran When Parked took a tour of the sprawling Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and while there's a spot of text about the different and unique vehicles on display in the rotating exhibits, it's largely the collection of pictures of odd, one-off VW-badged cars and vans that excites. If you're a fan of the weird and wild, this is a post you'll want to look at.
As RWP points out, this is the larger, but less busy, museum targeted purely at Volkswagen products. The smaller AutoStadt museum, meanwhile, covers a much broader swath, with products from other Volkswagen Group members. VW builds 250,000th Passat in Chattanooga in just two years
Sun, 26 May 2013It hasn't been without incident or union organizing drive, but the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, TN has built its 250,000 Passat in just a little over two years. The Night Blue Passat TDI with black leather has come just two years and five weeks after the first customer car came off the line on April 18, 2011.
In the last year the plant operated at the 150,000-unit capacity that it was intended for, but the downturn in Passat sales and subsequent worker layoffs mean it will be a challenge to repeat the feat. The plant does have the world's largest solar park, though, and you can't take that away from them.

VW says it has sold over 100,000 TDI diesels in America this year
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Volkswagen Group of America has lit oil-burning fireworks to celebrate the sales of more than 100,000 TDI Clean Diesel vehicles in the US between its VW and Audi brands this year. According to VW, that means it is responsible for more than 75 percent of diesel-engined cars and SUVs sold here - perhaps not surprising when the two brands offer a total of 12 diesel models.
What might be surprising is that the number of diesels isn't far off the estimated sales of 90,000 battery electric vehicles and PHEVs, with 15,000 of those accounted for by the Tesla Model S, another 12,000 or so being the Toyota Prius PHEV.
VW's keen to play up the ease of making diesel part of your life, stressing that it doesn't need any change to the refueling infrastructure and that "this is a technology delivering real answers to society's concerns about fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions without compromises."
