I have a beautiful 2001 Jetta GLS 1.8t for sale. It has 152k but dont let the mileage scare you. It has gotten a major service (MOST EXPENSIVE) from timing belt water pump coil pack tensonier and etc. I used the ECS Ultimate plus timing belt kit so everything consist of that package i have done plus more. A/C was recharged in the beginning of summer so it  is ice cold and heat is hot as it should be. A little story of the car , I bought this car from a old man last year and it was in the worst shape (mechanic wise) and that one of the reason why i bought it cause it was a old dude driving and i knew it was not beat on. Right after i bought the car it was a perfect time to upgrade all the bad parts and all the parts that should have came like this from factory , i even change out some parts that did not need to be change but i did it anyways cause i like my mind at ease when im driving knowing it wont fail on me (PLUS I AM A ANAL GUY BOUT MY CARS). Also this is a 12 yr old car so there is some dings and dents around the car but not much. Enough blabbing bout the car ,here is a list of stuff / mods that i did to the car within the past year.

- Check engine light is on due p0340 (camshaft position sensor)
- Airbag light is on (needs a reset)
- passenger axle needs to be change
- Dents and scratches around the car but on passenger rear door it bigger than usual (it did not stand out much so i didnt care to fix the passenger rear door also it looks like it could have paintless dent removed by a specialist)

This vehicle will be sold AS-IS with NO warranty applied . When auction end highest bidder will require to paypal a nonrefundable $200 and remaining balance will be in CASH during pick up. You must arrange your own vehicle transport .

Volkswagen hatches hotter GTI in Geneva

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

The all-new seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf hasn't even launched here in the United States, but over in Geneva, we're already getting our first glimpse at the hotter GTI hatchback. The fancy new Mk VII Golf is already off to a healthy start with positive reviews in Europe, and we have no doubt that this next GTI will work hard to regain its title as king of the hot hatches.
The big news for this generation of GTI is that for the first time ever, Volkswagen is actually offering two different power grades for the model, both relying on the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. Standard cars pack 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, but an optional performance pack ups the horsepower number to 230. Hitting 60 miles per hour takes 6.5 seconds (6.4 with the performance pack) and top speed is quoted at 153 mph (or 155 with the performance kit). Volkswagen will continue to offer the GTI with both six-speed manual and dual-clutch transmissions.
On the visual front, the sub-3,000-pound GTI adds the usual bit of hot hatch aggression over the standard Golf, and those changes carry over to the interior with a flat-bottomed wheel and, of course, plaid seats. She's certainly a looker, and while some of us do find the new Golf's design to be a bit staid and evolutionary, the enhancements for the GTI indeed tug on our enthusiast heart strings.

VW reveals Outback-rivaling Golf Alltrack ahead of Paris

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack is getting a baby brother at this year's 2014 Paris Motor Show in the form of a new Golf Alltrack. Like its larger sibling, the little wagon is supposed to offer light-duty off-road driving ability combined with a more rugged look to show it off.
To give the Golf Alltrack that soft-road ability, VW is outfitting the wagon with its latest 4Motion all-wheel drive system from Haldex. The setup can decouple power from the rear-axle when not needed to save fuel. To further improve traction, the Alltrack gets VW's electronic differential lock, and the car can individually brake its inside wheel during hard cornering for better handling.
Volkswagen also wants the Alltrack to be able to visually show that it can handle getting away from the pavement, even though it starts life as a standard Golf wagon. That means jacking up the suspension an extra 0.75 inches and adding black moldings all the way around the car. There are also redesigned bumpers for the front and rear and silver underbody protection, plus new accents like anodized roof rails and silver mirror caps. The interior is essentially unchanged from the wagon, except for altered trim and Alltrack badges.

Prop-driven VW Beetle hopes to land in Bonneville [w/video]

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

Sometimes you meet folks who, when they tell you "Hey, I have an idea," your reflex response is to stop what you're doing and tell yourself, "Get ready...." We imagine Mike Niemans is one of those folks, and the idea in question is putting a tank engine on a Type 1 Volkswagen Beetle. Not just any old tank engine - as if there were such a thing when we're talking about putting them in cars - but a 668-cubic-inch, 220-horsepower radial engine built by Continental in 1941 and procured from an M2 tank.
In the image above Nieman is using the tank clutch hub to get the motor set up, but in one of the images below you can see what really belongs back there is: a two-inch, reverse-pitch prop taken from a wind generator. He says there's enough mojo with the propeller action to get the car rolling down the runway like a jet when he gives it gas - and speaking of gas, the engine's been refitted to run on propane.
After a few safety tweaks Nieman's going to take the matte-black Beetle to Bonneville, "put the prop on, let her go and see what happens!" We can't wait to see the video of that. There are two shakedown videos below to get you ready.
