FOR SALE: 1977 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible
VIN No.: 1572088437

It is blue with a white convertible top. The inside has white vinyl seats and manual transmission. Would be a great project car to fix up a classic. Don't know much about how well it runs. It ran fine, but has been sitting up a for while. Please review all of the photos and come by to inspect the car before bidding so you know exactly what you are bidding on.

Any price given will always be contingent on the trade-in vehicle's true condition which will only be finally determined on actual sight and physical inspection.

WARRANTY

This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.

The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. It is unfortunate that we have had to add to add this stipulation to our auctions, but due to ever increasing problems with bids that are placed by recreational, non-legitimate bidders, we will be cancelling bids from users with 0 or very low feedback histories UNLESS we can confirm the bid is legitimate and made with full intention and commitment to buy. We welcome new buyers and new members to the eBay community, but the time and expense caused by these recreational bids has forced this policy. TERMS OF SALE

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Please be aware that all vehicles are also listed for sale locally. We reserve the right to cancel all bids and end an auction early should the vehicle no longer be available for sale.

WINNING BIDDER
After auction has ended, the winning bidder must contact seller via e-mail or telephone within 24 hours to proceed with payment and pickup arrangements.

PAYMENT METHODS
Cash (in person), bank wire transfer or bank cashier's check ONLY. Cash payments are accepted ONLY in person - Cash payments by mail are not accepted. No credit cards or personal checks are accepted.

BANK WIRE TRANSFER is the preferred payment method. Please note, if BANK CASHIER'S CHECK is used as payment method, the vehicle and/or title will NOT be released until the cashier's check has cleared and settled in the seller's bank account.

All funds must be in US Dollars. We do not offer financing of any kind. Please be sure to have full payment BEFORE making your final bid.

DEPOSIT
The successful high bidder will submit a $1,000 deposit within 2 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle.

PAYMENT OF REMAINING BALANCE
Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due and take delivery within 7 business days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed prior to the delivery of the vehicle.

PICKUP / DELIVERY / TITLE ARRANGEMENTS
To allow for proper completion of paperwork, pickup of the vehicle will be scheduled only Monday thru Thursday during the hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm Central. The We Bye title clerks do NOT work on Friday or Saturday. Pickup at any other time will be made ONLY by special arrangement made directly between the buyer and We Bye Used Cars. If special arrangements are made, the buyer does so with full understanding that title to the vehicle may have to be sent via FedEx once completed by We Bye title clerks during regular stated business hours.

ADDITIONAL FEES AND TAXES
The buyer is responsible for all applicable state, county/parish and city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state the vehicle will be registered.

SHIPPING
The buyer is responsible for any and all shipping charges. Seller assumes NO responsibility for damages of any kind including theft, accident, or natural disaster incurred after vehicle leaves our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received prior to vehicle being delivered or picked up by shipping company. The vehicle will not be released until full and clear payment has been made. Seller does not provide shipping services. If the vehicle needs to be shipped, it is the responsibility of the buyer to make shipping arrangements with a carrier.

BUYER'S INSPECTION
Every effort has been made to accurately and fairly describe this vehicle to you. We have tried to disclose all information known about this vehicle for the auction. Please be advised that used vehicles will have typical scratches and dings inherent for their year and mechanical parts are subject to fail. These are used vehicles - please do not expect perfection. We recommend that you ask all questions you may have regarding this vehicle BEFORE placing your bid. If you plan to have a buyer's inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle prior to auction ending. Buyer is responsible for any and all inspection charges and fees.

WARRANTY
Unless otherwise stated in the vehicle description, this vehicle is sold "as is." No representations or warranties are made by seller, nor are any representations or warranties relied upon by bidders in making bids. Manufacturer's warranties may still apply. Extended warranties may be available.

BID RETRACTIONS
Bid retractions are not allowed nor will be recognized within 12 hours of auction ending. Seller will not be obligated to sell in the event of a late retraction.

NEGATIVE FEEDBACK BIDDERS

NON-PAYING BIDDER

Touring the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg

Forgive the ribbon up top - this isn't so much of a Read This as a Look At This. Ran When Parked took a tour of the sprawling Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and while there's a spot of text about the different and unique vehicles on display in the rotating exhibits, it's largely the collection of pictures of odd, one-off VW-badged cars and vans that excites. If you're a fan of the weird and wild, this is a post you'll want to look at.

"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.

VW Golf GTI wrung out by Chris Harris

Enthusiasts like nothing more than to crucify modern interpretations of their favorite performance models for failing to live up to some imagined ethos. Even the Volkswagen GTI has suffered its fair share of slings and arrows for growing in size and curb weight. Chris Harris recently spent some time with the all-new MK VII GTI to find out if growing up means giving up on what makes the machine so special.
Judging by his comments, Harris certainly doesn't think so. Yes, the new GTI is considerably more comfortable than its predecessors, but that's hardly a bad thing. The multitude of driving modes actually seem to add depth to the car rather than simply try to force one tool to do many jobs, and Harris even finds the machine's electronic power steering tolerable. As a result, Harris goes so far as to call the Volkswagen GTI "one of the best cars to actually own." How's that for high praise? You can watch the video for yourself by scrolling below.
