This is a 1971 Super Beetle "BUG" Convertible...this is a two owner car,last person owned it 26 years and she parked it in her garage 5 years ago.For it's age it is in really great shape....there is only one small rust spot on the drivers side by the rear fender on the body the size of a fifty cent piece..That is it for rust,battery box is in tact with zero rust. There is a few minor dings and dents around the car,which should be expected for a car unrestored...please look at the pictures for more details....it has a stock 1600 motor with a dress up kit on it,at one point she gave the car to her son to drive....he bought a bunch of chrome add on's for it and that is how the car remained until I bought it....car runs great and goes down the road good...this is a very unmolested VW. Auto execs surveyed say VW, BMW most likely to grow
Thu, 17 Jan 2013A new survey of top global automotive executives indicates both Volkswagen and BMW are the most likely to grow their market share over the next five years.
Tax advisory firm KPMG LLP has released its 14th annual Global Automotive Executive Survey, which includes responses from over 200 executives. A total of 81 percent of respondents said they expect to see Volkswagen make gains, compared to 70 percent last year. BMW, meanwhile, saw 70 percent of those surveyed say they believe the company will increase its market share. That's a jump of 7 percentage points over last year. This is the first time in the history of the survey that BMW has claimed the second-place spot.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has seen its perceived market share potential slacken for the third year in a row. Around 61 percent of those surveyed predicted gains for Hyundai, down from 63 in 2012. Toyota also has a surprising year, but for just the opposite reason. While the manufacturer had slipped in ranking since 2011, it enjoyed the largest increase of any company in the 2013 survey, jumping to 68 percent from 44 percent last year.

Volkswagen E-Co-Motion Concept brings electric mobility to the commercial set
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Volkswagen sees a future where the bulk of the world's freight is moved into city centers by train, then offloaded onto a fleet of smaller, light-duty commercial vehicles for final delivery. Those vehicles could wind up looking something like the company's E-Co-Motion Concept that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The EV features a modular underfloor drive unit comprised of a battery, motor and gearbox that can be paired with any number of cab and body configurations to suit a buyer's needs, from a refrigerated box to a standard flat bed.
The E-Co-Motion Concept features a rear-mounted electric motor with 113 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. A standard 20 kWh battery pack provides a driving range of up to 62 miles, while 30 kWh and 40 kWh packs could deliver 93 and 124 miles of travel, respectively.
