I am selling this car for a friend, i will try to include everything i know about the car but feel free to ask any questions. I do have additional pics if they are needed.
I am selling a 1966 VW beetle with a fresh (May 2013) ground up restoration, no expense spaired and the owner has all reciepts totaling to over $22,000. The car has a brand new 1600cc engine with chrome shroud and gen stand. All of the wiring has been replaced and everything converted to 12 volt. All glass is brand new and has been tinted, all new rubbers and seals everywhere. All carpet, headliner, and door panels are new, the seats have been re covered and do not have any rips or tears. All chrome trim inside and out is new, interior door handles, window cranks and steering wheel are not new but near perfect. The body work and paint job is show quality, there are two or three VERY slight blemishes but other than that its slick as glass and straight as an arrow. All of the flowers and logos are stickers and are easily removable. The bumpers, billet running boards, headlights, taillights, wheels and tires (15" Empi wheels, Falken tires) are all new. There is ZERO rust on this car, floor pans have been replaced, inner fenders and underside have been under coated. This is a super nice car, runs and drives perfect and has less than 500 miles on the resto. The owner has taken it to a handfull of shows and the car has placed 1st, best of show or peoples choice in every one of them! Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?

Volkswagen Group previews its wares on eve of Geneva show

So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range.
