Up for sale is what I though would be my forever car , but here goes . I have owned this car since 99 , it was previously stored and forgotten in a barn (yes) For decades . when I got it I started my dream of a restoration . It was disassembled down to the frame , floor pans , inner and outer sills replaced and any rust blasted /cut out . The body panels were painted individually , reassembled and resprayed.
My goal was to use all original parts for the car (as I was not impressed with the repro parts of the time) so some parts came from a doner 75 Tr and many hours on the Internet . The result is a super clean body , with the exception of the drivers door (see picture) body alignment is good. The engine starts easily and is very powerful , it does however leaks oil. I took pictures of the underside before a little clean up to show the amount of oil , the tranny had some oil drips too but it's a blast to drive . The rear differential are showing their age . This car is original with some exceptions . Non original to the car are its 1975 bumpers , Leather power driver seat and passenger seat , and the factory cowl seam was welded up and eliminated , updated transmission cover , sill trim and dash console not installed . Interested bidders are welcome and encouraged to test drive if distance allows , I'm looking to find the right person who hopefully wants the car for the long term . Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
