Completely Restored Triumph Tr6 With Triple Webers on 2040-cars
Rochester, Michigan, United States
1973 Triumph TR6 This car was bought from an old lady in Ft. Lauderdale in 2002. Her son had taken it apart to restore it in 1985, and she had kept it air conditioned in her garage all that time. I bought it because it was and is rust free. I trailered it up to Michigan and completed the restoration. Too many pictures to show here, but all are available. Some changes: - Triple Webers were installed and are correctly tuned to the vehicle - Engine was blue-printed, decked block, milled head, by Hart's Machine Shop in Cecil, Ohio - Cam shaft was re-ground on the intake lobes for longer duration and shorter lift (to create steady vacuum for the Webers) - Push/Pull Distributor from an earlier TR6 was re-curved to support manifold vacuum advance - Classic style radio with AM dial, but is full AM/FM with MP3 input - Under Bumper turn signals in front - Custom aluminum radiator from Speedwell Engineering - Good Parts aluminum radiator shroud - Transmission restoration (Triumphs Only, Stockton, California) - Rear Differential restoration (Ring and Pinion Shop of Oakland) - Wire Harness from British Wiring New: - Brakes all around, including lines - Convertible Top - Convertible Top boot (also have tonneau cover) - Interior Carpet - Seat upholstery - Seat foams - Interior trim (door panels, rear panels, etc.) - Door handles and locks all around - Seat Belts - Window Seals - Bumpers front and back (front have later model turn signals) - Fuel Pump (and aluminum fuel tubing with regulator) - Trunk trim, spare tire cover, carpet - Side marker lights - Rocker panel chrome strips - Lots of this and that. All receipts are available for review. I had multiple gauges to choose from, so I am not sure of the correct mileage. I took the best speedometer and set it to 0 miles and calibrated to be exact at 60mph when the restoration was complete. There is roughly 7,000 miles on the car since it was mostly completed in 2005. Now that it is complete, I am itching to start something else. There are builders and there are drivers. I'm a builder. It is available for test drives and inspection locally. It recently won an award at the Rochester Heritage Festival of Cars. Will consider trades |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
