INCLUDES TONNEAU, BOOT, NEW FOLDING CONVERTIBLE TOP, AND FACTORY STEEL AUXILIARY HARDTOP! SPLENDID EXAMPLE! | | SPECIFICATIONS | Year | 1974 | Make | Triumph | Model | TR6 | VIN | CF23858U | Mileage | 60,632 | Engine | 2.5L | Cylinders | Inline 6 | Transmission | 4-Speed | Title | Clear | Color | Mimosa Yellow | Interior Color | Chestnut Brown | | | DESCRIPTION | Produced for 7 years (1969-1976), the Triumph TR6 saw a very lengthy model run as far as auto manufacturing goes. These beautiful cars were incredibly desirable, always fun to drive, and rather simple in design. Offering 4-wheel independent suspension, front disc brakes, 6 cylinder power, and manual transmissions, it certainly offered owners a true sports car feel! And they designed an interior cabin better suited for taller drivers. This 1974 Triumph TR6 roadster is finished in code-correct Mimosa Yellow (64) with Chestnut Brown interior upholstery (63) and brand new Black folding top! Factory appointed equipment included 2.5L Straight 6 cylinder engine with dual Stromberg 175 CD-2 carburetors, fully synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission, 15” wheels with redline radial tires, rare factory steel auxiliary hardtop, wood veneer dash with full gauge instrumentation, heater & defrost, chrome exterior mirror, leather wrapped steering wheel, front disc brakes, bucket seats, and day/night mirror. This cosmetically restored example comes complete with matching spare tire, full cabin tonneau cover, original chestnut colored boot cover, original keys, aftermarket air horns, various spare parts for future servicing, and a newer, updated Jensen AM/FM/Cassette radio system with added rear speakers. New items on this car include refinished exterior paint & wheels, Coker Classic radial tires, convertible top, and all weather stripping around windows, doors, hood, and trunk. Under the hood lies the original engine (CF24047UE) & drivetrain showing only 60,649 actual miles the odometer! This car hails from Georgia/Florida are where it has been brilliantly preserved and remains free of any rust, rust repairs, or any accidents! The interior remains 100% original with exception to new floor carpeting. All chassis and body tags remain and are clearly visible. The car was professionally painted just 4 years ago with outstanding, show worthy results! It is wonderfully detailed and continues to be fully functional throughout! Even the key buzzer still works! It starts without any issue and runs down the road just superbly with excellent performance! The gearbox remains super tight with precise shifts, and the brakes apply confident and straight! Also included will be the original owner’s manual, Stromberg tuning instruction booklet, original Triumph TR6 showroom license plate, hard and soft top mounted hardware, various parts catalogs, and radio instructions. These cars represent a dying breed of collectible automobiles that can still be purchased below $30,000, making for a great entry-level vehicle for a British car enthusiast looking for something they can enjoy and drive regularly.

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out. Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top? You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
