For your consideration is a Pimento Red Triumph TR-6 with a tad over 39,000 original miles. This car was purchased in San Antonio Texas in 1974 and has stayed in the San Antonio since then. As such, there is no rust (only surface). I am the third owner and have all the original paperwork, a sample of which is displayed. Near original with the following recent replacements: Stainless Steel Muffler from the headers back, Brake Master Cylinder, U -joints, Brake Pads, Gas Tank removed, boiled out and sealed with epoxy tank sealant, Michelin P205/70R15s, Foam for seats replaced, Fuel Pump, Wheel Bearings, Electric Ignition, Coil, New Clutch, Rebuilt Transmission, Refurbished Radiator, and gear reduction starter. I have the receipts for the noted work. Car runs fantastic: Good oil pressure (75) is typical, burns little oil, no smoke and runs cool (between 1/4 and 1/2 on gauge). No overdrive. The paint is original and shows some wear as would be expected for a car that is 40 years old. No rust on the body. The top was replaced and is in very good condition with a slight gash about 1/2 inch. All gauges work with exception of fuel gauge, which works on occasion. Original radio. All serial numbers match with paperwork and this car was the 53rd produced for 1974 TR-6. Buyer responsible for pick-up. |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
