Purchased in 1990 as it appears in these current photos, I have done nothing other than general and routine regular maintenance over the past 24 years until just recently. Cars in this quality and condition maintaining 98% or better OEM status are gaining in market value every year and the time to buy one is now. It has taken several First in Class awards at British Car Club gatherings. I do not want to sell it but have reached an age and stage in life where I am no longer able to enjoy it as I once did and take care of it properly. It had some refurbishment and repair expense in the mid 80’s which included complete exterior repaint in the original OEM color. I have the records for that mechanical work.. A complete engine overhaul was done in 2013 by a reputable local mechanic with vast British car experience. I have the paperwork from that work as well and more detail can be provided on request. With over 1,000 miles since then I confidently declare that it runs now as good as new! The pictures speak for themselves with respect to the paint and interior. Paint condition is excellent but it has some small nicks and blemishes here and there, none of which are visible until one looks closely. There is a small “pimple” on the inside left front of the engine cover but it also is not noticeable unless looked for. A five year old windshield crack has not grown worse over time. The windshield washer motor is not working. The interior is all original to the best of my knowledge. The driver seat back interior lumbar cushioning has deteriorated but it is still very comfortable to drive. The Michelin Red Line tires, including the spare, are all good, having good tread depth and not showing any unusual wear patterns or signs of sidewall cracking. They are old however having been on the car when I bought it. I have a small collection of parts, literature and special tools which will go with the car. I have included my email address and will be happy to reply to any questions. I am advertising the car in a variety of both local and other internet resources and I reserve the right to sell to the first qualified buyer from any of those resources. The car will be sold as is without warranty, either express or implied. The buyer will be responsible for any and all delivery costs and expenses.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
