1972 Triumph Tr6 Base 2.5l on 2040-cars

Up for sale is a 1972 Triumph TR-6 convertible coupe owned by the same party for seven years. Garage kept and driven sparingly during the spring and summer months but never in the snow or inclement weather.

The TR-6 runs very well, has been maintained and cared for extremely well. The car is basically original with no sheet metal work or any sign of collision. The body has two spots that are showing bubbles on the rear quarter just behind the doors. Chrome is good with some minor pitting. Luggage carrier has very good chrome and there is no rust on the holes on the trunk lid. Top is not in good condition and needs to be replaced but tonneau cover is in very good condition. Door windows roll up and down easily.

The TR-6 has seat belts but the retractors do not work. Interior is in good condition but the driver's seat has a small tear. Passenger's seat is very good. Wood on dash is good but may need refinishing. Speedometer and radio don't work but all other instruments operate well. There is some rust on the frame and running gear but does not appear to be severe.

The Triumph was treated as a very special car by the owner and is only being sold due to his passing.

I am selling the car for a friend and the car has a reasonable reserve. It's a fun car with a lot of curb appeal that could give years of great driving. There are many more pictures on PhotoBucket - send a message for the link.

A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 will be required within 48 hours of the winning bid. The remainder of the balance will be due no later than 7 days from the close of the auction. Buyer needs to contact seller within 24 hours of the auction ending. The title will be sent to the buyer once full payment has been received and cleared. Buyer is responsible for all delivery and pick up arrangements. Will accept cash, cashier's check or wire transfer.
