1970 Triumph Tr6 - Beautiful Classic With Lots Of Work Done! on 2040-cars
Melbourne, Florida, United States
This is a beautiful early model TR6. There has been a lot of work and $ spent to make this a fun and reliable driver. It is one of the most fun TRs I have driven. The gorgeous red paint draws lots of attention and thumbs up wherever we go. I was going to have the body colored bumpers rechromed to be more original but I actually like the look. This is a very solid car. I crawled underneath and could not find any rust. The 72 spoke wire wheels are newer and in excellant condition. The interior while not new is in very good condition. It recently had a new wood dash installed and new top dash pad. I just use the tonneau cover but comes with the soft top frame. I also have an original boot cover with it. I have a very thick folder of receipts of work that has been done including the following:
All gauges work. Has a radio but needs antenna installed. If you look at the Haggerty Insurance website they have up to date values of cars. I consider this car to be a strong #3 which is currently valued between $14,000. to $21,000. per below. My reserve is close to half that so could be a very good deal for winning bidder. Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
