It has some paint chips, but overall, the body is solid."

We are selling this awesome 1970 Triumph TR6 after having it since 2005.  The car runs well and is in solid shape, but it is by no means a show car.  If I were to rate its overall condition, I would give it a B-.

It has a 4 speed manual transmission with Type A overdrive and 6 cylinder, double carb engine.  We had the carbs rebuilt this spring and had other notable work done in the past couple of years.  It got a new clutch last year and new master cylinder the year before that.  We've replaced numerous other parts throughout the time we've owned it.

The car will eventually need a new paint job, as there are several nicks and couple of paint chips missing.  But, the body is solid with no rust through that we know of.  We have also garaged this car the whole time we've owned it.

I'm really not sure how many miles there truly are on the car.  When we purchased it from a private seller, the speedo cable was broken.  We immediately replaced that once we got the car.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to send me an email.  I can also send other pictures if you have any certain requests.  I am asking for a $500 deposit within 2 days of the end of the auction and full payment within 10 days after the auction.

It's a very fun car and I will miss it, but it's time to let someone else enjoy this old British car.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
