1970 Triumph Tr6 on 2040-cars
Pilot Hill, California, United States
California car, no rust. Has rebuilt motor, suspension, front end. Has new starter, alternator, clutch, battery, tires, gas tank, door panels, interior, dash top, windshield, much more. It does have the Miata seats, altho the original seats are available if you want them. I do not consider them to be rebuildable. I am the second owner on this, and I have the original blue plate, altho the Calif DMV would not let me use it since I only have the one. Runs great, everything works; there is some tranny noise in neutral and first, and it looks like the rear tranny seal is leaking, as is the rear diff seal. Has a full size spare, Tiger Paw Radials, and you get to pick your own radio. Close observers will note that the door plate specifies Laurel Green as the paint color. And it was. However, when I took it apart, the insides of the doors, trunk, and engine bay were BRG. Since the manufacture date was 12/69, and since BRG was discontinued for 1970. I am assuming that this was changed to Laurel on the assembly line. Since I like BRG a lot more, that is the paint color I used. Take a look at the photos and send me your questions.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
