This is a well preserved 1973 Triumph Spitfire 1500.  Engine has less than 53,000 original miles.  Fires right up and runs well.  Choked carbouretor is original Stromberg.  Transmission shifts smoothly.  4 speed manual.  Car has working heat.  CD player with speakers behind seat.  New carpeting in car.  New muffler, new brakes all around.  Receipts in hand for over 1100 dollars worth of work on the brakes.  Also, new rubber steering wheel mounts installed for safety.  4 wheel independent suspension. Wood dash with racing medal.  Original hard top with beautifully done liner on inside included.  Rear window seal on hard top JUST replaced.  Cost $150 for the part, $150 for labor.  Looks great! Bolts to secure hardtop NOT included.  Racing tonneau included snaps all around passenger compartment. Convertible top in nice condition.  Buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for shipping.  Hard top will not be mounted.  Arrangements must be made for shipping of hard top. Manuals and service records in trunk.  Sale of this car is FINAL, and I will NOT accept this car in return.  This is an antique car which is 40 years old. Buyer assumes risk.  Although car is in very good condition, car is being sold AS IS.  I have owned this car for 17 years.  There has never been a time when this car was not on the road.  However, this car was only ever used for little jaunts in the country on the most perfect of days. Too many fixes, improvements to list.  This car is quite original.  This car has always been garaged and protected from the weather.  Never driven in winter.  Originally a Florida car before I moved up to Mass. Please email with any questions.  This is a well-preserved example of the 1973 model.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
