2007 Toyota Prius Very Clean, Bluetooth, Backup Camera, New Inspection on 2040-cars
Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, United States
If you're looking for a nice Prius with good miles but don't want to spend a ton, than my 2007 with 109k, bluetooth and a backup camera is for you.
Mechanically this Prius is solid. Motor and hybrid system charge and assist just as they should. Has a brand new PA inspection. Drives well down the road. A/C is ice cold. Everything feels nice and tight. Brakes feel good with no pulsing. Just a great example of a well cared for Prius mechanically. Cosmetically it's nice as well. Paint shines beautifully in the sun. Body is nice and straight with the exception of a door ding or maybe two if you look close. Has your typical scratch here and there and a few chips that have been touched up that is shown in the pictures. Interior is nice and clean. Seats, carpet and headliner are all in great shape. Smells good and hasn't been smoked in. Overall this is a nice Prius that will make anyone happy to own. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 717-823-3349. My name is Zach. I am only human and may have missed something that is important to you so please ask any questions before buying. A $500 non refundable deposit is due at the end of the auction. This car is being sold by Platinum Car and Truck Sales, LLC in Elizabethtown, PA |

BMW, Toyota outline new tech joint venture, new sports car
Fri, 25 Jan 2013Back in June, Toyota and BMW announced a "memorandum of understanding" outlining plans for the two companies to join forces on future products and technology development. On Thursday, they signed a more formal and binding agreement that goes further into detail about the partnership, and it all sounds pretty exciting. The two announced they will work together in four main areas:
Joint development of a fuel cell system
"Set up a feasibility study to define a joint platform concept for a mid-size sports vehicle"
Dubai claims debut of Toyota GT86 sedan concept
Sun, 03 Nov 2013Typically, when the organizers of an auto show reveal that a new car will debut at their show, we take notice. But this particular claim from the Dubai International Motor Show ought to be taken with a grain of salt.
As our compatriots at AutoGuide discovered, the Facebook page for the Emirates auto expo includes a post with an interesting claim: that a sedan based on the Toyota GT86 (known in the US as the Scion FR-S) will debut at the show. The Facebook post is accompanied by the image above, purporting to show the concept in question.
The strange part is that the organizers claim the four-door GT86 concept will make its "regional unveil" at the Dubai show, which would seem to indicate that the concept in question would make its international debut at an earlier show. Considering that the doors open in Dubai on Tuesday, that seems increasingly unlikely. All of this begs the question, If this isn't actually a four-door GT86, what might it be?
Toyota's Psy-style Waku-Doki ad inherits Japan's bizarre ad crown
Tue, 29 Jul 2014A new Japanese Toyota ad featuring crisply suited businessmen driving into the jungle only to segue into a Psy-style music-video dance-off with a gorilla and natives is the latest car commercial to go viral. Jungle Wakudoki is the newest installment in a grand tradition of bizarre ads from the island nation that are by turns hilarious, head-scratching and occasionally even frightening.
Let's face it: My people are weird.
I'm half-Japanese and take suitable pride in my Asian roots, but even I can't figure out what's been slipped into the water coolers of the country's ad agencies much of the time - or the nation at large, for that matter. From Japan's ubiquitous obsession with all things adorable (kawaii) to its offbeat sense of humor and its bizarrely perverse and violent tentacle porn, it's clear there's a lot going on in the culture, and only some of it bubbles up to the surface in its marketing efforts. Much of the strangest and most amazing ads are for non-transportation products (e.g. laundry soap, snacks, energy drinks), but the automotive space has its fair share. This latest Toyota ad had me trawling YouTube for a common theme, trying to make sense of why these spots are the way they are. Scroll down to watch the Toyota ad in question as well as a bunch of other examples of Japan's most bizarre car-related ads and see if you can't find the thread that runs between them. Is it just that something's being lost in translation? Have your say in Comments.
