2004 Toyota Matrix Xr Wagon 4-door 1.8l on 2040-cars

Up for auction is a 2004 Toyota Matrix XR AWD. This car just turned 100,000 miles. I picked it up to commute to work with but that is not a need anymore. When i purchased the car I replaced a number of parts. New tires, new spark plugs, air, oil, and transmission fluid and filters changed and i repaired the exhaust system by replacing a donut gasket. Recently the car was driven to Boston from Pennsylvania and return getting over 33 MPG. The all wheel drive works great. When the tires were put on the front brakes were in good shape (6/32nds) and the rear was as well. the car came equipt with an aftermarket rust guard that is mounted under the hood. I"m very skeptical of these devices but the car doesn't have a spot of rust on the body so it must be working. Being that it's a 2004 the body is not perfect. The front has stone chips and the plastic spoiler has some scrapes the bottom. The rest of the body has the usual small scratches but nothing more than usual wear. This car does have a clean car fax.

Watch the Muppets go for ice cream in a Toyota
Tue, 25 Feb 2014Do Muppets drive? We're not sure it's necessarily a good idea, but it's been known to happen. Fozzy called his hibernating uncle's Studebaker a bear's "natural habitat," and Doctor Teeth wouldn't get the Electric Mayhem very far without his band's psychedelically painted school bus. But how about Rolf in a 2014 Toyota Highlander?
That's what we got a glimpse of in the run-up to the Super Bowl, and the same combination (plus one Rizzo the Rat) that features in this adorably ordinary video below. Ordinary because it's just a couple of guys going out for an ice cream. Adorable because, well... they're Muppets. See what we mean in the surprisingly entertaining two-minute clip below.
Toyota C-HR Concept is a high-riding hybrid hatch [w/video]
Thu, 02 Oct 2014Despite having the tendency to offer decidedly bland production cars, Toyota occasionally surprises us with interesting concept cars. Such is the case with the C-HR concept making its debut at the Paris Motor Show this week. It's a concept showing forward-thinking design that hints at "a type of crossover vehicle Toyota would like to bring to market," according to the automaker's release, and it rides on an all-new platform and uses a hybrid powertrain.
About that powertrain: Toyota isn't revealing anything, just saying that it will - brace yourselves - "deliver significantly improved fuel efficiency" (over what, exactly?) The car also uses a brand-new architecture, though it hasn't really revealed any major details about that aspect, either.
It's a high-riding, muscular thing, with a rakish hatchback shape. Should it reach production, Toyota says it would take the shape of a C-segment crossover. It'd be cool to see something like this hit the road someday, but for now, we won't hold our breath.
Redesigned 2014 Toyota Tundra spied testing in Canada
Tue, 29 Jan 2013When Toyota first announced that it would be bringing the 2014 Tundra pickup to next month's Chicago Auto Show, we weren't quite sure if the truck would fall into the "all-new" or "refreshed" category. After seeing this latest set of spy shots, we're striking "all-new" from the record, but the enhancements do appear to be more than just a simple nip/tuck.
While the overall shape and greenhouse haven't really changed, heavy cladding found on the front fascia suggests that a totally redesigned nose is in store, with a fully reworked grille flanked by new headlamps. Smaller styling details are hidden by the big panels of camouflage, but we anticipate a few minor tweaks to the rest of the pickup's design when all that black tape finally comes off.
Mum's the word on powertrain enhancements (if any), as well as any changes that have been made to the chassis. But with the updated 2013 Ram 1500 already on the street, the recent unveiling of the updated 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, and a preview of what's to come from the likes of Ford, we certainly hope Toyota has injected enough new blood into its 2014 model year pickup to keep it competitive in this American-dominated segment. We'll know for sure come Chicago.
