1975 *rare Diesel* Toyota Land Cruiser Bj40 Fj40 on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
This diesel Land cruiser is in excellent condition. It has had only 2 owners, and was well taken care. It has absolutely no rust or bondo work. You can see all the side divets on both sides. It has leather seats in mint condition. The radio and speakers are located in the overhead compartment, and work great. The tires are nearly new. Everything works correctly on the beautiful cruiser. The diesel Land cruisers get 35mpg and has a top speed of 60mph. The cruisers from 1975 and earlier had the stronger metal that never rusts, as well as the cool interior doors. This one is well priced below what it's worth. I had it inspected by a licensed mechanic, and it passed all tests perfectly. The top comes off for open air driving, like a jeep. Put on a roll bar, and you are ready for summer driving. This diesel Land Cruiser in this condition, at this price is a rare find and a perfect investment. The value will only increase while you drive a head turning, rare vehicle. I can have A/C installed for $1,200, and heat for $500. |

This first-gen Toyota Celica is one mean mother
Tue, 09 Jul 2013Brian Karasawa's gen-one Toyota Celica is, in a word, badass. As a long-standing fan of the marque, the doting owner has tried to both restore and improve his Celica keeping period-correct modifications in mind. The 20R/22R mashup engine is outputting roughly 185 horsepower and graced with a lot of JDM-specific parts and modifications. Clearly, the exhaust has been upgraded from stock, as clips of the orange Toyota in motion are accompanied by one hell of a nice sound.
Tastes clearly vary, and there's not as much love for the first-wave of Japanese metal as there is for similar era American-iron, but we're pleased to see these cars finally getting more time in the spotlight. Scroll down below to see why we're stoked, and consider cruising your local Craigslist for late 1970s and early 1980s Japanese coolness (before we get there first).
Toyota Supra ready for its retrospective video closeup
Mon, 20 May 2013Our friends at XCAR have taken the time to train their lenses on the iconic Toyota Supra. With Toyota finally back into the performance car game, it seems only logical to remember one of the brand's most legendary sports cars. While we're all busy ladling praise onto the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins, it's important to remember that Toyota used to produce all manner of fun-to-drive machinery. The Supra once sat at the top of that list, its most recent iteration giving buyers the option of a ludicrous forced-induction inline six, gorgeous styling and plenty of presence.
Of course, the legend didn't stop once the Supra fell off American order sheets in 1998. Always an aftermarket darling, the Supra has gone on to become a tuner favorite in nearly every corner of grassroots motorsport. From drag racing to road racing and everywhere in between, the Supra is remains a force to be reckoned with nearly 15 years after it last prowled the US auto market. You can catch the tribute from XCAR below.
