1969 Toyota Fj40 Land Cruiser-clear Title-runs & Drives Great! 1968 1970 1971 on 2040-cars
Palm Springs, California, United States
Clean Southern California Land Cruiser has an expensive engine swap to a powerful 350 chevy engine. Equipped with an edelbrock carb, aluminum intake, hedman headers, 3 inch exhaust with dual exhausts for that hi-perfomance sound. Connected to a manual trans with 4X4 drive system. Lots of fun to drive with plenty of power for both on and off-road use. Oversize 31 inch tires, with 60 percent tread remaining, mounted on nice polished aluminum wheels, on its lifted body give it an aggressive look and allow the vehicle to clear rocks and forge streams. This is by no means being offered as a show vehicle. Built to drive and have a blast! No rust in floors. Starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops fine. Negative items consists of crack in the windshield, roll bar needs foam rubber covers replaced, diamond plate on corners and rockers, some rust hiding on rockers and below tailgate. Interior seats should be recovered and dash pad replaced. Exterior could use new paint as it looks good from 10 feet away now. This vehicle would be a perfect father and son project. Land cruiser is sold as is as shown with no warranty whatsoever. WYSIWYG....Clean title in hand. Note-this vehicle is listed elsewhere for sale and may terminate this sale at any time. Please call Larry or Freddie for more information 866-403-7034.

Hi-po Toyota GT86 to get KERS?
Fri, 09 Nov 2012We happen to like the Toyota GT86 - and, it of course goes without saying that the same applies to the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, as well - just the way it is. Yes, that includes the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine and its 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm.
That said, a little extra power never hurt anybody, right?
The most obvious way to add some punch to the GT86 would be with a turbocharger, and that has indeed long been rumored for an STI version of the BRZ. Will Toyota follow suit? According to Top Gear, the answer is no. Says GT86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, "I think 300bhp with a turbo and 200g/km of CO2 would be tasteless in this day and age. And a turbo would mean the loss of the GT86's uniqueness." Perhaps a bit harsh, but there you go.
Russians create Toyota Land Cruiser ice sculpture with full interior
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The Toyota Land Cruiser is a pretty hot model around the world. But it took the Russians to make it cool. We have few hard, cold facts and only small slivers of information about these photos, but it seems the icy Toyota was part of the International Snow & Ice Festival in Perm, Russia.
Artists took a huge chunk of ice and shaved it down to the temporary art installation you see here. The sub-zero SUV comes complete with a full interior accessed by the (permanently frozen open) driver's side door. The steering wheel and seats look to be upholstered in, well, dirt. With the back seats removed, the frigid four-door is a pretty slick ride in which to chill out.
Just a thought, but wouldn't a Toyota Tundra have been more appropriate? See the gallery for more photos.
