Hello, Im selling my 1977 Toyota Celica ST Coupe.  I have owned it for almost 3 years now.  I actually flew from East Tennessee to Las Vegas Nevada and drove it back. I am moving and have to sell him. Lets be honest up front and now. The brakes just went out 2 days ago and I have replaced the master brake cylinder, not the issue, so the power booster needs to be replaced and cost around $110.00.  If you want to buy it now at 3900 Ill finish the repair, if you want to pay only 3600 its yours and you can pick it up and do the repair.

I have done alot to this car in the 3 years I have had it.  New tires,  new front rotors, new front pads, new front bearings, new battery, new oem exhaust manifold, new muffler system, new spark plugs, carburetor rebuilt by reputable mechanic and I have spent almost a 1000 dollars replacing the plastic interior trims.  if you see black in the interior pictures it was replaced with all 1977 Toyota originals.  It took me almost 2 years to finally find a perfect shape black rear view mirror and the shifter knob plastic cap.  The car runs and idles quite well, needs to warm up for a couple of minutes before taking off.  As you see in the pictures car is in great shape except for the rear passenger wheel well. That started last year and needs to b addressed and the body would be in pretty great shape to be 37 years old.

Any and all questions, please contact me and I will answer as promptly as I can.  Thank you and hope I can find that one person that wants to restore him and keep it original right down to the wing nut on the air breather I found.  Payment is due within 7 days of buy it now option used, thank you.

eBay Find of the Day: Back To The Future Marty McFly 1985 Toyota SR5 pickup tribute

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

With DeLorean time machine replicas thick on the ground, it was only a matter of time before someone started recreating the other vehicles in the McFly garage. At the end of the first Back to the Future movie, Marty returns to 1985 to find his sweet-looking Toyota SR5 truck all waxed and ready for his date. That truck always did look great in the movie, and now's your chance to own this close facsimile.
This Back to the Future replica Toyota is on eBay with a price of $14,500, which the seller claims is half of what's been invested. Perhaps that's true, but it's still a nearly 30-year-old truck that's covered 280,000 miles. The seller does say the 22RE engine has been recently rebuilt, along with the rest of the drivetrain, and there's new paint, too. The attention to detail is admirable, and if you've always admired Marty's '80s-chic 4x4, now's your chance to own it.

Toyota GT86 GT4 racer is ready for UK competition

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

It's about time we saw someone cook up a legitimate race version of the delectable Toyota GT86, and now it looks as if GPRM has done just that. The Buckingham-based race engineering team has built the creation you see here, complete with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, direct-injection four-cylinder boxer cooked up by Nicholson McLaren Engines. The team says the new mill delivers between 360 and 400 horsepower to the rear wheels depending on final testing, which is a sight bit more than the 197 horses the naturally aspirated stock mill offers.
The car will compete in GT4 events, including the Avon Tyres British GT Championship. Technically, the GPRM effort isn't factory backed, but the team says the effort "has the blessing of Toyota Great Britain." How could it not? You can check out the brief press release below below, and be sure to take a closer look at the machine in our gallery.

NHTSA urges owners of recalled Takata airbag vehicles to take immediate action

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Department of Transportation are taking the unusual step of issuing a followup press release urging owners of certain recalled vehicles "to act immediately" to fix their cars and trucks. The problem in question concerns the repair campaigns for rupturing Takata airbag inflators issued in June and covers a long list of models from Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Infiniti, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
While NHSTA doesn't specifically say why the recall is vital in the new release, Toyota's own explanation in its newly announced renotification campaign earlier today sheds some new light on the topic. According to the Japanese automaker, in testing, Takata found a possible link between the rupturing airbag inflators and high humidity. NHTSA is advocating that all owners pursue repairs immediately if they haven't already done so already. This is especially crucial for those drivers especially in Florida, Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, Virgin Islands and Hawaii because of the humid conditions there.
We don't need to tell you how dangerous an inadvertent airbag deployment could be - even in a stationary vehicle - but adding to the Takata issue is fears that the deployment could lead to shrapnel being sprayed into the cabin.
