I am the 2nd owner of this stunning 4Runner. As you'll notice in the photos, it's almost as if it were stored in a time-capsule! I bought this rig last August from the original owner. She was a 60+ year old lady. She had driven the truck off the showroom floor in 1986! It is unbelievably clean. And it still runs like a top. Routine highway MPG is 23-24.5. I think this speaks volumes about how well it's been taken care of over the years. Absolutely, the old owner was a bit OCD about things! Non-smoker, etc etc. NO rips in the seats. Seat covers have always been used. I only took them off to photograph.
There is one, barely noticeable dent in the driver's side, rear body panel. It was hard to photograph, but you can kinda see in the photos. I had a repair shop go over the vehicle about 2 months ago and it was given a clean bill of health. The engine is super clean and ready for years upon years of use. Starts strong, every time. The only modifications from stock are the following: 1. Rear bumper swapped out so I could get a tow hitch on the truck. Not so I could tow something, but so I could put my bike rack in the hitch! This truck has never towed anything in it's life. 2. There is an aftermarket CD/stereo receiver installed. 3. I had some add-a-leafs installed on the rear leaf springs. This was done only to level out the vehicle and make it handle better, safer. In regards to the bumpers, the truck will come as shown in the photos. (straight bumper installed, w/ 2" tow hitch) The "deluxe" step bumper is also included in the sale. Along with all of the mounting hardware. It fits perfectly. Please message with any questions at all. Please feel free to call, and I will try to answer if I can. Txt is good too. 541-76zreo-05zreo9. I think the pictures should provide many answers as well. Buyer is responsible for local pick-up or vehicle shipping. I am happy to help facilitate this. $1000 non-refundable |

Australia may offer money to keep Toyota making cars there
Tue, 04 Jun 2013In the wake of last month's announcement that Ford will cease automotive and engine production in Australia after 2016, many are wondering what the country's other automakers will do. Holden has already confirmed it will stay the course despite Ford's exit.
Much of the GM subsidiary's reason for sticking around has to do with a deal made last year between Holden and the Australian government. In order to secure a GM investment of $1 billion and a commitment to keep manufacturing in Australia through 2022, the government threw in an extra $215 million. According to Australia's Minister for Innovation and Industry, Greg Combet, the government is now in talks with Toyota for a similar deal.
Toyota operates one plant in Australia, the Altona manufacturing and engine plant in Victoria. The facility produces the Camry, Camry Hybrid and Australasia-only Aurion for both the local market and export. The report from GoAuto indicates that negotiations with the Australian government would include adding production of a third, all-new model at Altona, possibly the new RAV4, because it shares many parts with the Camry.
Toyota prices TRD Pro Tacoma, 4Runner
Fri, 01 Aug 2014Toyota is finally all set to drop more details about the upcoming off-road ready TRD Pro Series models of the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra after first revealing them in February. These trucks and SUV might not get the big engine and other mods that desert-stormers like the Ford F-150 Raptor have, but they are still a nice step up over the stock versions. All of the TRD Pro vehicles come as 4x4 models with Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs in the rear, TRD front springs, skid plates, black wheels, retro-inspired "TOYOTA" badging and TRD-branded floor mats and shift knobs on the inside. They're available in three colors: Inferno, Attitude Black Metallic and Super White.
The Tacoma hits the market first in early August with prices starting at $35,525, plus $885 for delivery, processing, and handling, for an Access Cab V6 with a six-speed manual. Opting for a five-speed automatic brings things up to $37,390 after the destination fee. A Double Cab with a manual goes for $37,320, or $38,300 for the automatic, after the delivery charges. The 4Runner follows in September with just a single trim priced at $41,110 - $41,995 after the charge - for the V6 and five-speed auto.
Toyota is holding off on revealing more about the Tundra for now. It's coming in the fall, but the company isn't announcing prices yet. We don't have to wait long, though. "Within the next month we'll reveal that," said Toyota spokesperson Sam Butto to Autoblog about the TRD Pro Tundra's price.
1967 Toyota 2000GT most expensive Asian car ever sold at $1.2M
Fri, 10 May 2013Toyota's agelessly beautiful 2000GT has been sold by RM Auctions for $1.16 million, making it the new record holder for the most expensive Asian car ever sold. As always, rarity played a big factory in driving up the price; just 351 2000GT models were built, and only 62 left-hand-drive cars (like this one). The classic Toyota, standout member of Texas car-collector Don Davies' paddock, was originally a US-delivery car that spent time in a collection back in a Japan before returning to Texas just a short time ago. The car last sold in March of 2011, for just $650,000.
Enthusiasts will recognize the 2000GT as perhaps the most heralded Japanese classic of all time. The Toyota was a contemporary of the Jaguar E-Type - though one that obviously sold in a fraction of the English car's numbers - that was well reviewed by the motoring press of the day. Sometimes referred to as Japan's first supercar, the 2000GT boasted a 150-horsepower, dual overhead cam, 2.0-liter straight-six engine; a five-speed manual transmission; and a reported top speed of over 135 miles per hour.
RM described this record-setting example as, "the finest and most authentic 2000GT to come to market in recent years," equating it with blue chip classic exotics like the Ferrari Daytona and Lamborghini Miura.
