2005 Subaru Impreza Wrx Wagon 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Grand Haven, Michigan, United States
Up for sale is my 2005 WRX Wagon. I purchased this car several months
ago from its second owner down in Kentucky. I am the third owner of this
car, and while I have enjoyed owning this car for the brief time I have
had it, its time to be an adult and buy a house instead of a toy.

I found a 2005 STi cluster with 85026 miles on it for sale. I just drove around until I was down to 10 miles, drove around my block till it was 1 mile difference, then drove around a church parking lot till it matched up. If there is any difference in mileage, it's less than 1 mile in favor of the car have less miles. I certify this to be true to the best of my knowledge. This car is SUPER reliable. I bought it off NASIOC from its second owner down in Louisville, Kentucky, and drove it home that day without any issues. I have put approx. 6000 miles on it in 4 months, and it has driven great the entire time. I recently took it on a 1,000+ mile road trip over the course of 4 days, and it performed flawlessly. Most of the work has been done by the previous owner, and I have a folder containing receipts for almost everything that has been done to it. Feel free to ask any questions you might have, I will do my best to answer them to the best of my knowledge. I work around 72 hours a week, so if it takes me a bit to respond don't fret, I will respond as soon as I can! I will entertain reasonable offers, however I do have a lien against the vehicle. The car is for sale locally as well, and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at at time if the car sells locally. TO THE BUYER I require an immediate $1000 deposit to hold the car for 2 weeks. The buyer has 2 weeks to pick up the car and provide the rest of the money unless the buyer and I come to an agreement otherwise. Failure to retrieve the car or produce full payment in that time frame will result in forfeit of deposit and I will relist the car for sale. Buyer is responsible for shipping and retrieval of car. |

Hi-po Toyota GT86 to get KERS?
Fri, 09 Nov 2012We happen to like the Toyota GT86 - and, it of course goes without saying that the same applies to the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, as well - just the way it is. Yes, that includes the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine and its 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm.
That said, a little extra power never hurt anybody, right?
The most obvious way to add some punch to the GT86 would be with a turbocharger, and that has indeed long been rumored for an STI version of the BRZ. Will Toyota follow suit? According to Top Gear, the answer is no. Says GT86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, "I think 300bhp with a turbo and 200g/km of CO2 would be tasteless in this day and age. And a turbo would mean the loss of the GT86's uniqueness." Perhaps a bit harsh, but there you go.
Subaru confirms performance concept, XV Crosstrek Hybrid for New York
Wed, 20 Mar 2013Subaru has made quite a name for itself as automaker that caters to the outdoorsy, green-leaning set. Now it's stepping up to the plate for those customers - some might say "finally" stepping up - with its first-ever hybrid vehicle.
The Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid will make its official debut next week at the New York Auto Show. And although there are no details about it just yet, we do have one, typically muddy, picture of the literally and figuratively green car to show.
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid will use a Subaru-developed hybrid system paired to the automaker's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. On the opposite end of the green scale, Subaru will also be showing off an "all-new performance concept car," which we can only hope is our first look at the next-generation WRX, or better still the WRX STI. Here's hoping.
Evo shakes down Subaru WRX STI on Swedish tarmac
Mon, 19 May 2014The Subaru WRX STI has never let anyone question its intentions. With a gaping hood scoop up front, massive rear wing at the back and often found with gold wheels spinning all four corners at the ground, there was never anything subtle about this Subaru. The latest 2015 version is made up of many new parts, but the formula certainly hasn't changed. Evo's Henry Catchpole aims to find if it all still jives together on some misty, Swedish backroads in a new video.
Surprisingly, the movie eschews Evo's standard shtick of big, smoky powerslides in favor of a legitimate review of the new STI. However, this isn't Consumer Reports. As the screenshot above implies, Catchpole isn't afraid to chuck the car around a little and put two wheels off the road all in the name of testing the severe sedan's limits. He just puts an equal amount of focus into how it actually drives.
Autoblog's Steven J. Ewing fell in love with the Subie when he did our First Drive. Does Catchpole concur? Scroll down to watch the STI snaking through Sweden and find out.
