2003 Saturn Vue Base Sport Utility 4-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
Buffalo, New York, United States
For sale is a 2003 Saturn Vue with just over 100k. This is one of those vehicles that my shop buys from customers who decline fixing them (this one needed an engine but was otherwise very clean). In our down time we rebuilt the motor (including new timing chain components - which are this model's weakest link), fixed every other issue that would make the car less than perfect, and we even detailed the inside yesterday. This Vue is stick shift with a 2.2L motor (26 MPG highway), with nearly new tires, new exhaust, oil just changed, new spark plugs, new starter, newer battery, no leaks, no issues whatsoever.
Because we are not a dealer and we do not have plates for this vehicle (rest assured i drove the vehicle 50 miles after the rebuild to make sure everything went as planned) we are offering a six month warranty. If anything goes wrong in the next six months (even brakes or the exhaust!), we will fix it free of charge. We included some pics of the rebuild because fresh cylinder heads are pretty, and we are particularly proud of how well this rebuild went. In fact, we are proud as a shop to sell this truck because of how reliable it is going to be in the future. Please feel free to ask any questions or stop done to see us at Forest Automotive for a test drive. |

GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected
Tue, 20 May 2014General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years
Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
VIDEO: Saturn's demise? We blame Jim Gaffigan*

When the deal to sell Saturn to Penske Automotive fell through, there were likely a lot of surprised people at General Motors' Detroit, MI headquarters. Penske released a statement saying that the reason the deal fell through after months of good faith negotiations was that a suitable post-GM supply of vehicles could not be found. However, after reacquainting ourselves with over eight minutes of outtakes from Jim Gaffigan's old Saturn commercial, we're thinking the comedic pitchman is to blame.
