This VERY CLEAN & EXCEPTIONAL 2007 Saturn Aura XE was specially built by General Motors as the Prototype Concept Car for the 2006 European Autoshow Tour. The car was specifically painted a one-off color, Bella Red, just for the autoshow circuit ~ and more importantly the original instrument cluster has been changed from KPH to MPH for use in the United States by the owner, and was readjusted to read the correct mileage in miles instead of kilometers this year. All factory recommended replacement parts and services have been used with this vehicle and as per the 60,000 Mile Factory Service Schedule, all recommended maintenance services have been preformed by a certified service center within the last six months. This maintenance program has included a new battery, hoses and belts, water pump, fuel filter, tires, brake rotors and pads, spark plugs and wires, as well as a new distributor cap and rotor. All fluids have been changed as recently as this week, as well as a full tune-up preformed! This vehicle has been garage kept, non-smoker, and absolutely no accidents of any kind! This vehicle is absolutely in LIKE-NEW CONDITION and NEEDS NOTHING! Most all mileage is highway mileage on I-10 and I-75 between Lake Livingston, Texas and Sarasota, Florida. I am retiring and moving to the islands on June, 28th of 2014 ~ So someone is going to most likely own the nicest pre-owned Saturn Aura XE left in the country. As the photo's show, the undercarriage is as clean as the exterior and has NEVER been driven in ill weather! GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.

The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll

588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
