Premium Features: Moonroof, Heated Seats, Cold Weather Package on 2040-cars
Wilmington, Delaware, United States
I am selling the car because I am going to graduate school. The car will be used for low mileage commuting in Wilmington, DE until sale. The car is registered, titled and inspected in Washington, DC. I can make the car available to be picked up in Wilmington, DE or in Washington, DC. Premium features include the cold weather package, heated front seats and an after-market moonroof. There is minor wear and tear on the vehicle, including a small tear in the driver seat leather (not visible when someone is sitting in the seat). Please feel free to contact me to inspect the vehicle yourself or to allow a private inspector to inspect the vehicle, including to test drive the vehicle. We had had an extended warranty on the vehicle, but when my
father transferred title into my name, we forgot to transfer the extended
warranty (5 years (July 2014), 100,000 miles).
The insurance company has continued to honor the warranty to-date. I believe it will be impossible to transfer
the warranty to a new owner, but it has been used to keep up with any necessary
repairs to the vehicle. The sale will be AS IS and I will make NO WARRANTIES with
respect to the condition of the car. No personal checks. I reserve the right to remove the listing at any time. |

The Saab 9-3 that never was finally shows up
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Looking back on the life and [slow and painful] death of Saab, it's impossible to not stop and think of what might have been with the quirky Swedish automaker. As it turns out, SaabsUnited has decided to shed some light on what the company's future might have looked like, including some images and information that include full-scale mockups of the 9-3 Phoenix, which you see above.
In its waning years, Saab's lead designer Jason Castriota was working feverishly to deliver new products that built on the heritage of the brand while doing so at a lower cost and in a shorter time period than previous models. In the end, though, it sounds like the earliest that we could have seen any of these plans come to fruition was 2014. In addition to hatchback and convertible 9-3 variants, Castriota also created the Sonnett - a sporty-looking 2+2 that never made it past the design study phase.
Regardless of whether you're a diehard fan of the brand or if you were just pulling for the underdog, you'll want to head on over to SaabsUnited to check out a little more of what the future could have held for Saab.
NEVS announces 200 layoffs as it says Saab restart will 'take time'
Fri, 26 Sep 2014For a fleeting moment a few weeks ago, the news from Saab-owner National Electric Vehicle Sweden appeared almost positive. The company had its reorganization plan approved (a day after it was denied), and the automaker was actually showing a real, running vehicle, albeit one with a top speed of 75 miles per hour. But those tiny crumbs of potential goodness have been swept away because NEVS has announced layoffs of as many as 200 factory employees in September "due to lack of work."
Workers probably shouldn't get too eager to return to the factory either, because company's "decision to re-start production will be further delayed" by an unspecified amount of time, NEVS says in a press release. To begin assembling cars again, the company needs to find long-term funding and a new majority owner. Those seem like two very steep hurdles for the embattled automaker to clear.
Despite not producing cars since May, NEVS still claims it's negotiating with a new owner, possibly Mahindra, but according to Reuters, the Swedish company owes about 400 million kronor ($56 million) to creditors. According to its layoff announcement, getting rid of these workers is one step in the business' reorganization plan to be presented on October 8. Scroll down to read its full release.
Spyker's $3B lawsuit against GM for blocking Saab sale thrown out
Tue, 11 Jun 2013US District Judge Gershwin Drain has dismissed a $3-billion lawsuit Spyker filed against General Motors. In the suit, Spyker accused GM of attempting to bankrupt Saab after the US automaker had already sold the company to Spyker. GM in effect blocked the sale of Saab to China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Company by prohibiting the transfer of some of its intellectual property. But the court found that GM had a "contractual right" to approve or disapprove any change of ownership. Furthermore, Reuters reports Judge Drain said the contract between GM and Spyker "is clear, unambiguous and absolute" on the matter.
GM, meanwhile, says it is pleased with the ruling. Spyker CEO Victor Muller has not said whether or not his company will appeal the ruling. The Dutch automaker is expected to make a final decision once the court issues its written order on the case.
You can read the official Spyker press release about the court ruling below for more information.
